I think this concept could work today. I like it because it has different musical numbers yet not a musical. And the opera bit was entertaining. Any theater fans might enjoy.

It's definitely a change from the usual Laverne & Shirley fare, but the only part I really liked was Laverne & Carmine dancing. Penny Marshall looked like she was having a lot of fun doing it and that made it even more enjoyable to watch. I give this one 5 stars just for the dance part.
