This is one of five films featured in the DVD collection "The Short Stack: Volume 5". I have enjoyed their other compilations and can recommend this one as well.
Wow, does this short film have a complex story! It has as much going on as an average full-length film--making me wonder what sort of tale could be spun with a larger budget and a longer running time. It begins with an undercover cop roughing up a suspect and getting caught. Immediately after, he's home and catches a glimpse of his sister--and moments later, he learns from a phone call that she is dead!! The cop returns to his childhood home--one from which he's obviously estranged. And, you slowly learn about what has transpired over the years--and a lot (and I do mean a LOT) happens in this 20 minute film.
Overall, while it's a bit rushed and the film isn't perfect, I really liked this film and hope the makers get more funding so they can do this right--it is a very good story.
