Far fetched but still enjoyable

Warning: Spoilers
Mary yet once again easily talks Blackie into helping out a friend. This time it's her beautician, Anne Morgan. Anne is worried about her ex-husband, Barry, who has "Too much money and too much time;" and he is carrying a gun. Blackie agrees to talk to Barry. And he does; Barry doesn't appreciate the interference and pulls a gun on Blackie and in the ensuing scuffle, shoots a bystander. Barry immediately gets out of jail on bail but his boss, salvage company owner, Ed Miller, is worried that Barry will talk about the shady goings on at the company so he has Barry killed. Prior to this murder, Blackie had visited Miller and noticed he was superstitious (three on a match is bad luck). After Barry's body is found, Blackie comes up with this scheme to have an actor impersonate Barry and spook Miller into thinking Barry is still alive. Interesting how it all played out but but just too far fetched. One of my favorite character actors, Allen Jenkins, had a bit part as the make- up man who made over the actor to look like Barry. I was surprised that such a well known actor had such a small part; even at the end of his career he deserved more. I like all of the Blackie TV shows a lot but this plot is a bit too unlikely.
