Unusual tales of horror
ebiros222 August 2012
Ordinary girls turns into Yokai (Japanese folklore monsters) because of the darkness in their psyche. The movie is comprised of three short stories involving three such girls.

Michiko Yamane (Mariko Miyamitsu) is being shunned by her peers. Friends are in name only, they're more like people who brings her pain. One day her neck starts to grow longer in the style of Japanese Yokai called Rokuro Kubi. She goes to a hospital for examination, but they are of no help. She's hospitalized, but even her roommate only treats her as side show freak. She escapes the hospital but finds someone trying to commit suicide by the railroad track. She attempts to save her but ....

Each of the episodes reflects certain pettiness of the society. If you look at the medical condition of each of the girls, they're not so harmful to the society, but negative reaction of the people around them makes it into a tragedy.

The three stories interconnect in a way that makes each of the story more interesting.

It's an interesting story about not so ordinary girls at its core.
