Eric Bischoff grates my nerves!

Live from Augusta, GA
Your hosts are Eric Bischoff, Steve McMichael & Bobby Heenan
Hulk Hogan is suspended for his actions last week on Nitro. He nailed a referee and security with a steel chair.
Lex Luger (W/Jimmy Hart) Vs Scotty Riggs
Luger wins with the Torture Rack. This was a surprisingly competitive match and better than I expected. I dread any Luger match so any time he has a good match is a welcome surprise.
*1/2
Gene Okerlund brings out Sting for an interview. Sting gets annoyed at Okerlund for bringing the relationship of his friendship with Luger.
Sting Vs Big Bubba Rogers
Sting pins Bubba with a roll through of an attempted slam off the top by Bubba. This match was a bit sloppy, but nothing too horrible. I'm surprised Bubba was protected as much as he was, considering he wasn't doing much at the time.
*1/4
Now, Gene Okerlund is asking Lex Luger what his relationship is with Sting. Luger says there is no evil plot between them and their friendship will remain. He says he's the uncrowned WCW Champion and he won't stop until he has it in his grasp. Craigh Pittman randomly comes out and asks Jimmy Hart to manage him. Jimmy makes fun off Pittman and says no.
Dean Malenko Vs J.L.
Malenko wins with a rolling leglock. This was a pretty nifty little match for the time it was given. You have two guys that really know how to go in the ring.
**
Ric Flair is with Gene Okerlund for an interview. Jimmy Hart interrupts and apologizes for Kevin Sullivan's behavior towards The Four Horsemen the previous week on Nitro. He sucks up big time to Flair and asks if he can accompany Flair to ringside tonight so he can watch Flair defeat Savage for the WCW title. Flair says Jimmy Hart is welcome.
Thoughts: This was rather pointless.
WCW Heavyweight Championship
Randy Savage (C) Vs Ric Flair (W/Jimmy Hart)
Lex Luger runs in and attacks Savage to cause the DQ. Sting comes down and helps Savage, then he and Sting go nose to nose as Nitro goes off the air. I didn't think these two were capable of an average match. I was obviously wrong. This one never really clicked. It had moments of excitement, but they weren't able to sustain it. The crowd was dead for most of the match as well.
**
Overall, WCW was suffering from overexposure at this point. Eric Bischoff going on and on about WCW is where the big boys play and how WCW is so great got really tiring. Another complaint is the stale storytelling. I don't see how WCW kicked WWE's ass in the ratings with methods like this. The main event between Savage and Flair is extremely disappointing as well. I'd give this one a pass.
