The Steiner Brothers Vs Fire & Ice (Scott Norton & Ice Train)
The match ends in a double countout when both teams brawl outside the ring. This was actually going swell before the finish. I didn't expect much from this match and I got a lot more than I bargained for. Credit to Scott Norton & Ice Train for holding their own against The Steiner's
**1/4
Eddie Guerrero Vs Ric Flair (W/Miss Elizabeth & Woman)
I'm looking forward to this! Flair pins Eddie with the Figure Four. This is a really good match for the most part with a little bit of everything. These two got almost twenty minutes to go out there and put on a show. Ric was starting to slow down at this juncture, but he could still go. I'm happy this match got the time to deliver without silly interference.
***1/2
Ric Flair taunts Randy Savage with Elizabeth again and says Savage is predictable. He also says Kevin Greene and Steve McMichael will be former NFL players when Flair and Anderson are through with them.
Tag Team Championship
Sting & Lex Luger (C) The Faces of Fear (Meng & The Barbarian)
Sting and Luger retain after Sting hits The Barbarian with a splash from the top. I was kind of distracted by Flair's commentary, to be honest with you. The match was OK.
*1/2
Randy Savage is barred from entering the building by security. Gene Okerlund informs Savage that WCW officials are deciding on Randy Savage's future.
Diamond Dallas Paige Vs Brad Armstrong
DDP wins with the Diamond Cutter. Armstrong got in more offense than I expected. The most enjoyable thing about this match was the commentary between Flair and Heenan.
*
DDP says he beat the best WCW had to offer at Slamboree and he has one person to thank for it. Himself. Both feet of DDP's hit the floor last night during the battle bowl at Slamboree, but the referee didn't see that. The WCW committee takes away DDP's shot at The Giant at The Great American Bash and has given the title match to Lex Luger. DDP flips out to say the least.
Thoughts: DDP was starting to show the signs that would make him such a crowd favorite.
WCW Heavyweight Championship
The Giant (C) (W/Jimmy Hart) Vs Arn Anderson (W/Kevin Sullivan)
The Giant wins with a chokeslam. This wasn't much of a main event. Arn got in some offense, but he wasn't exactly treated like a threat.
*
6/10 ranking overall.
