- Some scenes with shirtless male Marines.
- Almost constant rude jokes and remarks made towards men's girlfriends, mothers and sisters.
- Naked prisoners are seen when the soldiers capture a group of Iraqis. Penises seen.
- A group of soldiers harass a female soldier. They ask her to show them her breasts and butt. They also make jokes about her genitals and pubic hair. Crude terms are used during this conversation. This scene is brief and played for laughs. The soldiers are yelled at by a superior officer for harassing her.
- Extremely brief glimpse of a man masturbating to a photo of a woman and by brief I mean extremely brief it's played for laughs and never lingered on blink and you miss it.
- We see a Marine naked from the rear during the first episode.
- A Marine gets out of his vehicle and drops his pants to relieve himself on the side of the road. We briefly see his bare buttocks.
- We see male rear nudity as Marines encounter a group of Iraqi prisoners. Very short.
- Frequent crude sexual references.
Violence & Gore

- The marines see plenty aftermath from previous battles during their travels from town to town. They come across many civilian bodies and blood strewn throughout streets.
- Battles are infrequent due to the fact that much of the war was spend in boredom. However, there are some intense battle sequences with blood shown.
- Lots of violence in this show. Dead bodies are seen everywhere, covered in blood. A man is seen dead in a car with blood splattered all over the windshield. People get shot with large blood spurts spraying out. An adolescent girl is seen dead in a pool of blood with her legs blown off. A wounded soldier is seen. His stomach is a shredded, bloody pulp. Intense battle scenes throughout.
- A dead Iraqi is seen with the back of his head blown out. Graphic.
- Two dead bodies shown up close at separate times. Each has a bullet hole through their eye.
- A soldier is shot in the foot. Graphic hole through his foot is shown.
- Marines are hit by a mine. Very sudden. One suffers a bloody leg injury, and the other loses an eye. His bloody facial wound is shown up close.
- There are a few intense battles throughout the show. People get shot in most of them. The first battle just shows bloody bullet holes on people when they are shot, but the following battles are much more graphic, with headshots and large blood sprays.
- Some graphic talk about killing. Soldiers talk about shooting a donkey and watching its head explode. Another soldier shoots an enemy and says he saw the man's knee explode.
- Soldiers hear wild dogs getting shot offscreen.
- Many wounded civillians throughout the show, some shown up close and graphic, U.S. Soldiers are ambushed while driving through a city.
Profanity

- Other profanity such as "shit," "the n-word," "cunt," "pussy," "damn," "bitch," "faggot, "ass." Overall, a lot of language throughout the show.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Characters smoke cigarettes throughout the show. Dip tobacco is used constantly. And characters get high on Ripped Fuel.
- Civilians ask for Valium. A soldier offers them uppers instead.
- The marines raid a cigarette factory. Tons of soldiers are seen smoking cigarettes after they capture the factory.
- Frequent use of dip tobacco.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Several depressing scenes showing child soldiers.
- Parents should use caution with Generation Kill. It contains intense sequences of strong war violence, grisly images, and pervasive strong language including racial epithets.
- Ex marines might find Generation Kill a hard watch due to realism. Civillian deaths may be disturbing to some

- An Iraqi child is accidentally shot by marines when they are engaging a moving vehicle. Not graphic but very sad.
