My criticism with the film is that it feels like bait-and-switch. In the first third, we get what we expect from the trailer - a young fan who became a part of the industry through his unique talents and his passion. But then it becomes a film about helping a very ill loved one recover and navigating the health care system. The latter is an important story, and I watched all of it. Stuart had some very good friends who rallied around him as he cared for her. In my mind, it doesn't matter that they were celebrities. With that (and for me) the "tie" between the two sections of the film disintegrated. As a viewer, I was left with two disjointed documentaries, only one of which I expected to watch.

Advertising this as a film about a film archivist and the familiar icons he knew does a disservice to those who could really be helped by story of his wife's illness and aftermath.
