Well... this movie is another type of a Filipino love story, but surprisingly, it had a twist. It is a love story about a hearing person and a deaf person.

It was actually a feel-good movie, there was no scene in the movie that I got bored at all. Another thing I liked in the film is that it was not only about romance, but it was also an awareness to the people to give kindness, courtesy, and respect to the P.W.D. community. I am actually happy, because it is not usual in the Philippine cinema to have a film storyline related to the P.W.D. Community.

I loved the film's cinematography, musical score, OSTs, and of course, the lead stars, Maine Mendoza, and Carlo Aquino.

It was my first time to watch a film directed by Prime Cruz, fortunately, his film, Isa Pa, With Feelings, was a thumbs up for me.

Highly recommended to everyone! :)

I entered the cinema with very little expectations and almost zero knowledge about this film. But I was surprised how well made this film is. The cinematography is very beautiful and created a mood complimentary to the story being told.

The story is a little bit simple and formulaic but there something in the way it is being told that set it apart from other film of the same genre. And it certainly did not take away from how good of a movie experience this is. It is marketed as a rom-com but it is more of a romantic drama.

The acting is superb for both of the lead. Carlo Aquino, the veteran of the two, did not disappoint. How many actor can make you genuinely feel his every line without uttering any word or sound. And Maine Mendoza, what a darling, every subtle detail of her acting made me feel for her character. I just wanna hug her and tell her everything will be alright.

In conclusion, the film is a fun emotional ride that I wish never ended. I wish my country will make more films of this calibre in the future.

Must watch. Not the typical type of romcom movie. It has deeper sense and you will surely enjoy all the feelings. 👍

I'm a hypocritical Filipino who is ashamed of cheesy, corny, cringe-worthy Filipino movies, but watches them out of guilty pleasure. This is the first time I can say I'm truly proud of a Filipino film. The direction, casting, cinematography are absolutely brilliant and world-class. The story is different and refreshing. But, what sets this movie apart and makes it memorable from all other movies is that it is not only seen or heard, but experienced and felt. It not only engages your visual and aural senses, but also your somatosensory system. Isa Pa With Feelings is not only meant to be seen and heard, but experienced.

Watched Isa Pa with Feelings with lots of expectations due it's positive reviews from casual fans and die-hard Maine fans in Twitter and Facebook, and oh boy it didn't disappoint! What a beautiful compelling moving story captured brilliantly in a movie. A different Maine Mendoza here, very raw authentic performance! Carlo Aquino will definitely win awards on his compelling performance! Direk Prime is a genius!! Give it 10/10

The story, cinematography, the actors are too perfect 👌🏻 Best Filipino film this 2019. Better to be watched in cinemas because of the sound effects.

Isa Pa With Feelings is about Mara (Maine Mendoza) who after undergoing a life-altering failure is brought out again to the outside world by Gali (Carlo Aquino) who is deaf. They develop an unlikely friendship bore out of isolation (self-imposed for Mara and one imposed by the world on Gali) which later develops into something more, silence and communication barriers notwithstanding.

The beauty of the movie lies in its comparison of seeing one situation from both perspectives. Aside from the complications presented by personal biases, there's also the point of view of the hearing and non-hearing. Gali, who feels he's imposing would go out of his way to make sure that he can make the situation as normal as possible, having been exposed to the same situation many times. His frustration is apparent as this is not reciprocated by Mara who is unaware, this being her first time not noticing that her normal is not a deaf's normal. This raises issues in their relationship complicated by communication issues and the question is whether he will shy away again to his non-hearing world, or give the hearing world another chance.

Carlo Aquino as per usual delivered. His eyes did the talking and you can follow his train of thought even without the subtitles. As for Maine Mendoza, her acting was decent, sometimes a little staged, other times it felt lacking for the scene. I was wondering if the idea to get her was based on how we first got to know of her: her multi-facial expressions from her Dubsmash days. If it was, it's a little disappointing because this movie was specifically tailored for her, with minimal talking and more facial expressions but we didn't get a lot of that. It's worth noting though that she did okay all things considered, and her popularity helped bring much-needed attention to the Sign Language community.

Cant find the right words to describe how beautiful this movie is. Congrats to the whole team!

I am an interpreter (ASL) here in the states - I spend a lot of time with the Deaf community . From that angle there are some seriously poor misrepresentations of Deafness although to be fair I don't know how far the concept of a strong Deaf identify has come in the Philippines. It's also disappointing that the actor is hearing instead of casting a Deaf actor .

From a rom-com view is was cute and enjoyable , fun to listen to Tagalog, cool that he had some true Deaf made film posters in his apartment and the actors had some great chemistry .

Watch it ? Yes . Except a masterpiece? No.

It was silently deafening. An oxymoron yes but because the movie effectively showed us the world of the deaf people. On how we are different yet similar in so many ways. Both hearing and deaf are still people who gets pressured, depressed but overcome challenges of daily life. The movie also showed how love can be so powerful to overcome anything. A must watch!!!!

Most of the reviewers here are fan of Maine Mendoza that's why they gave the movie 10/10.

It lacks entertainment, there are boring scenes, the story is not that great. It's a very simple story. She failed the board exam, met Carlo Aquino, fell in love, and that's it.

Even the build up of the story towards the highlight of the movie where they have to dance at the end was poorly done.

I only watched it because it was highly recommended by a friend. I should have know that she was a big Maine Mendoza fan that's why!

Go treat yourself to dinner than watching this movie.

Great story. Loved the casts. My family all agreed that Maine Mendoza is definitely a versatile actress. She can make you laugh and she can make you cry. We think her screen partner helped bring out the best in her.

Heaven on Earth ,It's an Experience that moves all your senses ! You can't get any better than that ! I'll give it a resounding 10 !

The most sensitive, empathic, bold, and it will make you feel more human! Maine and Carlo did their role with flying colors! And they have chemistry too...

While the movie's lead male character is deaf, there's no denying that the movie speaks volumes. It exposes the heartwrenching and sad truth about the differences between a deaf and a hearing person. It's a beautiful masterpiece of a movie intricately made by without a doubt superb and intelligent individuals. Thank you to everybody who made this film, it's one of those movies that will truly touch your soul, one that's not easy to forget.

It is something new and brave! Cinematography, production design, direction, screenplay, and acting were excellent! Carlo and Maine's palpable chemistry is overflowing . . . no other actors could have taken the roles any better. They are the perfect Gali and Mara! Prime Cruz is a superb storyteller!

Not a good movie to watch. Very boring movie. I fell asleep and just waste my money. Not a good actress. Doesn't act good

Isa Pa With Feelings is not only visually perfect but it also evokes empathy towards other people who are not as blessed as we are. Through the film I learned how dead people feel about certain situations and how they often feel left out by those who are hearing.

Acting wise, this is the best I've seen Maine Mendoza in. I am pretty sure there'll be a lot shaking in their pants knowing that the comedienne can also excel in serious roles. Carlo Aquino is very effective. Watching the two of them made me forget Maine Mendoza and Carlo Aquino. They were Mara and Gali through and through.

Isa pa with Feelings ... yes after watching the movie ..one thing is for sure ... you gonna watch it again and again .. one more time ... isa pa uli ... with Feelings Hahaha A very beautiful movie highly recommended to everyone So I'm going to watch it again this week , my 6th .. haha Carlo is great -best actor Maine is awesome - best actress If I will rate this movie 10 being the highest ... I'll rate it with 11 eleven Hope many more films na kagaya nito ...

Best Filipino film this 2019👍🏻. Great cinematography and the story itself is very unique. Maine Mendoza and Carlo Aquino did an amazing job in portraying their role. This movie makes me watch it again and again

When you watch this film, you will understand why it was praised and commended both by critics and casual viewers.

FIRST OF ALL, EVERYONE MUST GO & SEE this FILM!!! Without bias, It truly is a masterpiece, an eye-opener! I still can't believe it was done by some Filipino group of think-tankers, who bravely ventured on this rare subject, that was DONE SOOO APPROPRIATELY, it most certainly helps to open all our minds and make us AWARE of something we thought society has already figured out! Admit it or not, we do belong and "participate" in a world that is undoubtedly with division and segregation- in so many levels! No, it's not about the color of one's skin for we do share the same, but another kind that separates us from the "hidden gems" of our society...This film allows us to enter the silent world of our own brothers and sisters, who are certainly, sadly, are left behind...where do you put them in your own life? Do we accept them as an "inferior group", who do not deserve the same opportunities as ours just because they're unable to hear like us? Why can't everyone take time to hear them thru their language? I went to watch this movie thinking it's just a movie, but came out with massive props, love, appreciation and respect for this group of people, our own gifted angels who live in a world of "fish acoustics", who in their hearts, know THE SAME level of LOVE, yet live in SILENT STRENGTHS. Kudos to this group of GENIUSES that is "Black Sheep"- such Bad asses! I knew they were non-conformists who prefer to touch on topics that are socially relevant (and true to their hearts) rather than for the commercial values of it. I came out feeling gratified that I WITNESSED a MASTERPIECE, a product of this genius thinktankers who are SO BRAVE in venturing on this topic and project! From their brilliant idea came AN EXCEPTIONAL FILM! A+ on DIRECTION, PERFECT CASTING!!! (I have yet to move on from that iconic "AWARD WORTHY" confrontation scene from Maine Mendoza and Carlo Aquino, BRILLIANTLY ACTED and delivered, most certainly generated GOOSEBUMPS even long after the film ended) and that HOLLYWOOD worthy grade A CINEMATOGRAPHY, an accurate soundtrack and spot-on sound editing!!! This was WELL THOUGHT OUT, movie that was successful in creating moments that one just holds and cherish in one's heart..and keeping it there for a LONG, LONG TIME!!!
