I liked it
woutwoot1316 April 2020
Contrary to most of the reviews here I do actually enjoy watching the show. It really makes me wonder how they will try to explain all of it. Not all the acting is great, but I like most of it. In my opinion: average show worth watching. I liked the season finale, introducing yet another big reveal that I'm dying to know about...

WORKS BETTER AS A DRAMA
alcantaraj-1659419 January 2022
FOR ENTIRE SEASON 2 (7/10)

"Manifest" Season 2 has some major and minor flaws - last season's cliffhanger being a bit pointless due to the passing of 2 months, Olive's last boyfriend not existing when she and TJ became an item, things happening because it feels like the mystery needs to move forward and lack of scenes to establish how one character knows an information that another character found out in another episode - BUT it have a lot of dramatic storylines that compensate for ssid flaws, making this show a better dramatic series than a supernatural series. The supernatural elements is still a bit intriguing.

Amazing Way to End the Season! [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
Reaction / Review for Manifest Season 2 Episode 13 (Season Finale): Episode 12 was good and I gave it a rating of 7.5/10. This is the season 2 finale so I expect it to be decent. Oh boy Zeke looks sick, very sick. Finally we see the Major again. The plan to get Cal failed, I definitely didn't expect that. The brother of the main villain seems like a good dude, it sucks that he is part of that team of 3. I feel so bad for Zeke and Michaela. Did Saanvi just kill the Major? It's an accident but wow. Is Zeke dead? No! No! Im so sad, the show will never be the same without Zeke. At least he died saving Cal. Zeke is alive? Wow, yes, yes, yes! Oh boy this episode made me so emotional. I feel bad for Saanvi, things didn't go as planned. They are not able to find the bodies of the criminals? That's weird. This was an amazing way to end the season. My rating is 9/10.

Underrated show
kellycolbert-200968 April 2020
I really like this show and am praying it gets renewed. The season finale left open so many loose ends and there is some much I must know! The writing is great and though I do believe the show couldn't survive more than another season or two with needing to be wrapped up, it needs just that another season or two. Please watch and renew!!

I absolutely love this show! If it isn't renewed I'll lose all faith in humanity! So many great loose ends for a season 3. Make it Happen!

Okay, all I can say is, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! 😆😆

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was so gooooood!!! It opened up a lot of new cliffhangers that left my mouth hanging open for ten minutes! Everything about this finale was just fantastic! I can't wait to see what Vance and Saanvi will do after she had killed the Major. Also, WHERE THE HELL are the three meth dealers!!! They were in the ice and then they were gone!! And Jeffrey says that they will be an important part of season 3 so I can't wait to see how they play theIt roles in this new season! And the most important mystery of all, seeing flight 828 in the ocean!!! I have many theories about that mystery and so does a lot of other fans! My theory is that there are two universes, and both of them were the same until flight Montego air 828 disappeared. In the first realm, maybe the real 828 crashed into the ocean and that's how the Fishermans found it. And the other universe that these characters are from, just transferred into the real world. But we'll just have to see!!! Disregard all of the reviews that are under five!! This show is a phenomenon and it will become an even bigger phenomenon once season three arrives next year! Also, The clue is to beat the death date is to follow the callings and that's how Zeke survived!

The 2nd season Finale
chris-j-chuba14 June 2021
It opened up some potential new plotlines to explore, so I do not share the strong negative opinions that some expressed. The ONE thing that bothered me a lot is that Adrian, the ex-preacher guy, offered up a plausible theory in an earlier episode, that 'the calling' (hate the phrase) was training them to be blindly obedient. If that is true, what would such a force do? I don't know, perhaps ask you to do something completely illogical / immoral but then have you later realize it was for a greater purpose. When you refuse 'the calling' show you a negative consequence of you disobedience and later a strong reward for someone else who obeys. In short, every aspect of Adrian's theory is now more plausible. But for some reason, Ben Stone, the shows biggest skeptic, and scientific thinker, interprets these events to dismiss this theory.

This was just too out of place for such a well developed character. But overall, I do believe this show has places to go.

Poor series finale
Sophie_KN_6661518 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I actually love this show bit the constant, "omg he's dead," and seconds later, "oh no hrs not," is getting really tiresome. So much so that they really do need kill Zeke now. First TJ 'dies' but miraculously comes back and now this, and there have been many other occurrences like this. The writers need to take lessons from seasons 1-6 of GoT where it was at its best and there was always the risk of losing main characters. This is getting boring and predictable.

Also good job Saanvi has Vance because none of the rest seem to even notice she's gone, let alone that she nearly died twice trying to save them.

These characters are becoming really unlikeable . Michaela professes her love for her ex until she breaks up his marriage and then goes off with someone else is the epitome of narcissism. The others are just as bad and if not then they're boring as hell. With the exception of Saanvi and the guy who gave up his liver for his kid, it's about time the rest were killed off.

I Had A Calling To Say Goodbye
Michael-560-3959538 April 2020
Watched the 2nd season finale and decided I won't be flying with Manifest anymore. Too many contrived moments and uneven plot twists, along with the weekly "family member in dire straits" moments have left me cold (pun intended.)

Very disappointing Warning: Spoilers
So why the low rating for the final? Aobvious you will work out the ending as soon as Cal gets to send a text. Ben and Grace's reaction to Michelea is terrible and out of character and ruins the whole arc of those character's.

Pitiful
brandoman4714 April 2020
The fact that now, over a week after this season finale aired, there are a grand total of 5 reviews (including this one I'm writing), should really tell you something about the quality and direction of this show!

I believe this will, and very rightly should be, the very last episode of this stalled out, stagnant show! There is clearly nothing more they can add to this series anymore after these last episodes!

None of the main characters are or were ever truly in risk of dying or facing any other serious repercussions! This show is no longer able to portray characters facing any real challenges or risk. Knowing these characters will all survive and never really face and danger or life changing events in any manner, ruins the overall plot and story! Everything will work out for all the main characters forever (29 episodes so far)! This allows this show to be stretched and milked every single possible way till there is absolutely nobody left willing to watch this boring, unnecessarily drug out tv show!

This was seriously 1 of, if not the absolute worst season finales I've ever witnessed! Episode 29 and still basically know just as little as the 1st episode! 29 hrs to reach this point is completely unacceptable and unnecessary! The show just keeps going in circles, the story NEVER ends or even slightly advances!

With so many other shows out, so many good shows in numerous genres, the is literally no incentive left to continue watching or investing any time whatsoever on this slow, boring, horribly acted, never advancing show! It seems like they would be willing to drag this out for the rest of their lives if granted permission to!

I've had enough! Wasted enough time and brain cells for absolutely nothing! Peace for good this time! Guarantee I'm not even close to being the only one walking away now, before wasting more life on it!!

Allegory for Fundamentalism
wildernessbarbie13 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A more logical, science minded character finally does a complete switch to almost religious zealotry, insisting they blindly do whatever "The Callings" SEEM to be telling them to do, despite it being well established that they often get them wrong. I get that traumatic times often push people towards desperate measures, but it's not like one of their lives isn't seemingly in danger every episode already.

The writers are seemingly terrified of "killing their darlings," to paraphrase Stephen King who offed his with aplomb. They've now established that apparently no one is REALLY in danger of dying, not even on this almost certainly misunderstood "death day." So what's the point? Nothing is really at risk, there's no real consequences.

On top of that, they seem to have entirely abandoned the interesting sci-fi angle and are now going for some full-on religious propaganda- just do as you're told, don't question anything, or those you love will be smited (but not really).

I am SHOCKED this wasn't canceled after this season and ridiculous Pollyanna ending.

Good bye!
elfelf66611 October 2022
The show just keeps getting dumber and this episode proved it! I can't understand how you managed to ruin the genius idea!? With stupid, mindless and unnecessary personal dramas! Superfluous characters, naive twists, elementary tricks... too bad, the idea was genius! I'm going to try a third season, but I highly doubt anything useful will come of it. Why do you always ruin brilliant ideas by adding stupid, unnecessary elements, characters and events??? I am extremely disappointed with the development of the series and I am going back to the good old European series! Time for Hollywood to slow down the crap spewing!

sigh Here I Go Again
EuropeanQoheleth24 January 2024
Well an alternative rock act is in the soundtrack so of course it's rubbish. Now on to one of the other reviews; that it's an allegory for fundamentalism. Well he then says it's like religion as a whole so...he's saying it's an allegory for all religion and not fundamentalism then? He says it's about blindly follwoing stuff which is rich coming from an internet atheist; the sort of people constantly regurgitating the four horsemen's talking points since the late 2000s. He says he's surprised the show wasn't cancelled. I'm not unfortunately; if something being pollyannaish was grounds for it being cancelled then Moracle On 34th Street would never have been made (oh how I wish it was). Long story short the samei nternet antitheist rubbish yet again; ''It appears (to me) like the worst aspect of religion (actually the way some diehards APPROACH religion rather than religion itself) so this is like a religion and therefore bad''. For a bunch of people who say the Bible is an old book the internet atheism sure never improves with each passing year.
