According to Marvel scoopers, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine may feature many cameos. They have speculated the appearance of multiple celebrities, from James Marsden’s Cyclops to Taylor Swift’s Dazzler. Before James Gunn and Peter Safran were hired to take charge of DC Studios, a Green Lantern TV series was in the works revolving around Guy Gardner and Alan Scott.
The story was set to play out across two different time periods, deepening Lantern lore. However, while it was heading to Max, we expected it to be more in line with Titans and Doom Patrol rather than a big budget superhero series akin to those seen on Disney+, for example.
There was chatter about it tying into the planned Green Lantern Corps movie, though, and an impressive cast started coming together with Finn Wittrock tapped as Guy and Jeremy Irvine set to play Alan.
Now, Wittrock - best known for American Horror Story and All My Children - has broken his silence on being ousted from the role when DC Studios set out to reboot the Dceu as the Dcu.

As a film star, Ryan Gosling is the recipient of multiple titles, such as Gangster Squad and Drive. Even so, the actor, 43, has not yet made an appearance in the superhero genre, despite having received a few role offers from Marvel and DC Studios.
Have you ever been astounded by the fortunate decisions that Hollywood’s best actors make to shape their careers? Consider the Barbie star, a strategic mastermind, when it comes to career-defining decisions. The actor made an especially wise decision when he graciously stepped aside from donning the character of Green Lantern in Martin Campbell’s 2011 flick.

A decade on from its fateful leak, a look at how a two-minute Deadpool test reel has led to Deadpool & Wolverine – a film that is about to change the MCU.
The general public was never even meant to see it, and yet the test footage for Deadpool has made more of a dent on pop culture than some multi-million dollar films with huge marketing departments behind them.
To this day, nobody has publicly admitted to leaking that footage in 2014. Some have pointed the finger at director Tim Miller; franchise star Ryan Reynolds has playfully hinted that he might have uploaded it to the internet that July. There are theories that the studio that commissioned it, 20th Century Fox, may have leaked it deliberately as part of an elaborate publicity campaign.

Four years after Covid-19 upended the world, we're all still just scrambling to catch up. So many industries are having a rough go of it, and Hollywood is no exception. Even the almighty Marvel Studios has fallen on hard times, with several Marvel Cinematic Universe films seeing lower-than-expected returns at the box office. That downward trend culminated with last year's "The Marvels" becoming the lowest-grossing MCU movie ever. How dire was it? The follow-up to the billion-dollar smash-hit that was 2019's "Captain Marvel" made less than DC's notorious "Green Lantern" from 2011, the first Nicolas Cage "Ghost Rider" movie, and the massive flop that was Fox's X-Men pic "Dark Phoenix." Just let that sink in for a minute.
So, what gives? Could it be that Disney saturating the market with MCU media, with an emphasis on quantity over quality, hurt the brand? Or that the continuing impact of the pandemic on...

Green Lantern is one character that has been walked over for far too long, according to fans. While every other member of the Justice League was at least given a fighting chance, Hal Jordan was cast aside and never brought back into live action after the failure of the Ryan Reynolds film.
Ryan Reynolds in Green Lantern
Many fans have been begging for the character to be brought back in some way or another; be it in a series, a stand-alone film, or on the sidelines of another character’s story. Considering just how iconic and important he is in the comics, many do not think it is fair that the franchise has gone so long without actually incorporating him into the main series.
However, with the reboot and the DC Universe almost starting from scratch, James Gunn may have just teased something, and fans cannot control their excitement.

This Spider-Man article contains spoilers.
Every comic book fan knows about the night that Gwen Stacy died. The two-part story from 1973’s Amazing Spider-Man #121–122 stands as a watershed moment in comics, not only upping the stakes of Spider-Man’s inability to balance his personal and heroic lives, but also giving permission for superhero comics to push the envelope in a way that had not been done since the pre-Comics Code days.
For most of Spider-Man’s history, Gwen fell into the same category as Thomas and Martha Wayne or (pre-Superboy punch) Jason Todd. She existed only to die, to give tragic backstory to our hero. Decades before Major Force killed Alex DeWitt in Green Lantern #54, Gwen was the patron saint of fridged girlfriends. Her death hangs over the entire story of Spider-Man, even when played by the sparkling Emma Stone in The Amazing Spider-Man movies. The writers know we expect...

James Gunn has been busy directing the first chapter of the new Dcu i.e. Superman (formerly Superman: Legacy). He is also simultaneously directing some episodes of Peacemaker season 2 and is handling all the grunt work that comes with being the co-chief of the new DC Studios.
It seems like part of the grunt work includes answering for the past projects of the Dcu (then the Dceu). The filmmaker was recently asked by a fan about the Green Lantern TV show for HBO Max that was in development starring American Horror Story’s Finn Wittrock. Gunn reportedly clarified the status of the project, which was announced back in 2021.

Blake Lively was unrecognizable in her role as a grieving woman who seeks revenge in Reed Morano’s The Rhythm Section. Lively’s Bond-style film flopped really badly at the box office. During the filming of a scene in the film, Lively injured her hand, requiring surgery and shutting down the production for six months. The critics praised Lively’s performance, but her sacrifices were not enough to save the film from an embarrassing fate.

The poor marketing efforts of the film did not help its case after a thinly written plot. The film had the all-time worst opening weekend record for a film playing over 3000 screens. By the end of the second week, Lively’s film was pulled from 2955 screens.

Young Justice, ever since it first started airing on television, was hailed for its expansive worldbuilding, and for the inclusion of diverse stories across a range of characters that pulled from every aspect of the DC Universe. "Suicide Squad Isekai," premiering this July, bridges the worlds of DC Comics and anime. "Isekai" is a popular anime genre; meaning "another world" in Japanese, Isekai anime follows an everyman lead being transported to a magical realm, "Alice in Wonderland" style. This time, the "everyman" leads are Harley Quinn (played by Anna Nagase instead of Margot Robbie), Deadshot, Peacemaker, King Shark, and Clayface.

The DC Animated Universe is generally hailed as one of the better adaptations of superhero comics. While it was the definitive version of characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, some characters suffered a lot throughout the shows, and fans felt that they were slighted in their depictions. When there are so many characters to focus on, some end up falling by the wayside.

Daisy Ridley, known best as Rey in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, has had a pretty fascinating career outside of a galaxy far, far away. From narrating documentaries to failed YA sci-fi adaptations, she's certainly spread her wings. Later this year, Ridley will get the chance to lead a straight-up action flick called "Cleaner." It sounds like a riff on "Die Hard" from director Martin Campbell, who directed two of the greatest "James Bond" movies ever made. We may not even have a trailer yet, but it sounds very much like the film is going to live up to the promise of the talent involved.

Following the release of the highly anticipated film Justice League in 2017, fans eagerly awaited news of a sequel. While official confirmation of a follow-up remained elusive, the fervor surrounding the possibility only intensified, fueled by fan-made trailers and speculative discussions within the DC enthusiast community.

Denzel Washington is one of the most prolific actors who changed the way African American characters were portrayed in mainstream cinema. The actor has starred in landmark films such as Training Day, Glory, Philadelphia, Malcolm X, and Cry Freedom. He has also been nominated for the Oscars multiple times and has won the award twice.
Washington was reportedly always interested in playing Black Panther in a film adaptation. While the actor became too old to play the iconic superhero by the time the character made his cinematic debut with Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal, Washington reportedly had his eyes on another superhero. Denzel Washington once mentioned how he wanted to play Green Lantern.

The Marvel film Black Panther was a film that meant a lot to many, including Oscar-winner Denzel Washington. But Washington wasn’t just a fan of the movie, he helped inspire one of the film’s major characters.

Black Panther featured many memorable characters, and one of them was Michael B. Jordan’s Erik Killmonger. Jordan famously portrayed the villain in the 2018 Marvel film, and immediately caught attention due to his look. It was a really disappointing time when Henry Cavill announced that he was finally hanging up the Superman suit for good. His exit from the Dceu was mourned by many fans, as well as his departure from The Witcher series, but it seems a new door of opportunity awaits the actor.

One year ago, Canadian sweetheart Ryan Reynolds showed everyone how easy it is to protect themselves from hackers with the 1Password security setup. Well, for accuracy’s sake, Reynolds’s assistant protected the actor’s varying accounts. The Deadpool and Green Lantern actor just sat around, waiting for some “bad actor” to steal his private information. What matters is that his accounts are secure, and he can email love letters to Hugh Jackman at his leisure.

Few Marvel characters are more qualified to traverse the space-time continuum — and tell a few meta jokes at its expense — than Deadpool. The Merc with a Mouth is notoriously averse to the constraints of reality, and that's just one of the many reasons why his big-screen adventures have been so much fun. Fox's "Deadpool" films have toyed with the anti-hero's wanton fourth wall breaking, nonlinear storytelling style, and affinity for time travel in delightfully irreverent fashion. It's allowed star and producer Ryan Reynolds the opportunity to poke fun at aspects of his career that fans have tried to forget, but it also gives audiences the chance to laugh at some of the silliest parts of the superhero industrial complex.
With the advent of Marvel's multiverse, Deadpool's exploits have only gotten more ambitious. Still, there are some choices too weird to make it to the final cut. The team behind the...

Who is up for a massive DC movie binge? If you’re in the United States and have a Netflix subscription, you can do that right now through to at least April next year with the majority of titles from the Dceu and other DC movies dropping between December and January 2024. Here’s your updated guide to watching the movies in order.
We will cover three ways to watch the DC movies that have landed on Netflix.
Firstly, we’ll cover the simple release order. You’d have watched these movies in this order if you went to the theater each time a new DC movie dropped. Following that, we’ll look at the canon order of the Dceu, i.e., if you want to follow the timeline’s events closely. This will exclude any title that exists outside the Dceu. Finally, you’ll get the Kasey list.

What was once touted as a brave, new era of streaming is starting to feel ... a little stale and familiar these days. Hot on the heels of Paramount's bizarre choice to rebrand the prestige cable network Showtime as Paramount+ with Showtime, likely made in a sweaty attempt to goose subscription numbers for a fledgling streaming service, yet another questionable decision from a major studio has come down from the highest levels. And this time, it involves sending brand-name DC movies to another streaming service.
According to a new report by Variety, Warner Bros. Discovery and Fox-owned Tubi have reached an agreement to send several DC movies and shows to the ad-supported streaming service for the new year. Even though audiences might not exactly be counting the days until another Shazam! movie — this year’s sequel Fury of the Gods was savaged by critics and DC fans — star Zachary Levi says he’d be pumped for more installments.

But if Shazam won’t be flying onto screens anytime soon, would Levi be interested in playing another DC character?

Will Zachary Levi reprise his role as Shazam down the road? During an interview for Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, Chris Killian of Comicbook.com asked Levi about his Dcu status, and Levi was happy to share his thoughts.

The big-screen adaptation introduces Blue Beetle as Jaime Reyes, who is a recent college grad forced to the superhero identity after receiving an alien scarab from Jenny Kord (Bruna Marquezine), the daughter of inventor Ted Kord,...
