coming together

Warning: Spoilers
A few more pieces of the puzzle came together in this episode, for both Assane and the police. One clever misdirection in this episode, but lacked from the previous two. Good storyline development.

Warning: Spoilers
Until the last moment, it felt that Assane has lost the game. But the last moment really raised his credibility as the master.

Good Movement Forward
Hitchcoc8 October 2023
Assane at first appears to be so emotional that things may collapse. He kidnaps the cop and interrogates him, but the guy is cold as ice. He has some pretty good resilience. The Achilles heel for Assane is that he is a good man and will not harm the man's family, even though that would not work for the other guy. We get a little background on his relationship with Clare from a back story at the prestigious high school they attended. We also get the real story and how Pelligrini manipulated the commissioner. Just when it looks like things could fall apart, there is still one device that comes into play after Dumont thinks he has scrubbed the house. Once again, the power calls the tune, but we all have a breaking point.

Chapter 3
Prismark102 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
We all suspected Hubert Pellegrini having a hand in the stealing of his own necklace.

So far he has been in the periphery of the blame game. Just what is the deal with Dumont and Pellegrini?

Assane seeks to find out by abducting Dumont.

Back in 1995 Dumont knew Babakar was not the thief and dropped hints at Pellegrini that he was the main suspect.

25 years later Dumont has done well for himself and Pellegrini used his influence for it.

In this episode it looks like for the first time Assane is losing it. He has let his emotions get the better of him.

Youssef Guedira's hunches about the Lupin connection are considered more seriously by his fellow police officers. It just might be the police are closing in on Assane.

As with any good long con thrillers. There is a higher stratagem at play here with a bit more misdirection. Chapter 3 still keeps everything enthralling.

Interrogatory

This episode is more slower and we hope that Dumont will reveal some secrets about Assane's father. Still enjoyable to follow the investigations. The end will soon arrive.
