I really enjoyed watching this short film. Elena Langfeldt's eyes are what really got me, they seemed to just cry out passive resentment. I also really liked the parallel between the Grandma's old movies and how "La Sueca" compared herself to the fiery femmes of the past, and found her strength through them. The Grandma made me actually laugh out loud at one point, that crusty old voice shouting " Get out!" caught me by surprise. All in all I feel this was a very well made film. The dressing up of the exterior of Balboa Park's St. Francis chapel must have been no small feat, yet the look felt legitimate and the story seemed to fit perfectly into it's surroundings.
