Mabel Justice has added a bit of real life to a melodramatic situation and carried it on from that point. It is a bit more interesting than the melodrama without the touch of truth and has some sea backgrounds that are acceptable. As a whole a fair offering. In the background of the picture's story there seems to be a song. Perhaps, if this had been used by the pianist, it would have helped the eflfect materially. - The Moving Picture World, January 3, 1914
