Sex & Nudity

  • A sex scene appears rather randomly in the middle of the film. Other than this scene, there is absolutely nothing else sexual or even a little suggestive. A man is seen thrusting into a woman against the wall, both of them grunting and breathing heavily. No nudity, except for the top of the man's buttocks.

Violence & Gore

  • A few scenes of people stabbing others with a scalpel. There is always lots of blood, although the actual stabbings aren't too graphic.
  • A few scenes of people eating dead people. These scenes aren't graphic at all- we just see people hunched over a dead body and hear some gruesome noises.
  • A man pushes a car off a cliff into a lake. It is implied that the two teenagers who were inside the car drown.
  • In a flashback, a young boy cuts a piece of flesh off a dead woman's body and eats it. Very graphic.

Profanity

  • A man calls a woman a "c***."
  • Standard R-rated profanities.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The entire movie is very disturbing and depressing. Over the course of the movie, we see people go from acting normally to killing and eating others in order to avoid starving to death.
  • Although not very graphic with it's violence, Hunger is very disturbing and dark.
