I find this show just barely interesting enough to continue, but I'm not riveted to the story. It feels in some ways like a show that would have been great in 5 episodes has been stretched to 10 episodes. I like the setting and the tone of the show, but it's quite slow.

My husband and I were enjoying this story. However, we were totally disgusted with the long drawn out scene last night with Isaac at the motel with a stranger. That added nothing to the story, was unnecessary, vulgar, and inappropriate. We're done with it.

If you like interesting, drawn out shows that make you think, not easily digested Hollywood rubbish, you probably won't like this show. Think Rectify, True Detective S1, Fargo, Sopranos, that kind of show. Interesting shows. It does start off a little wonky, but it does get there in the end. They weren't sure they were going to get a 2nd season, so it a little out of whack occasionally, but the acting is amazing, Daniels and Tierney just hold your attention even frame and there are no weak arcs in any part of it. I loved this show and was really hanging out for the 2nd season, which did not disappoint. I was very disappointed to see the low ratings. Living in Australia, I have no idea what station it is on, so I don't know if it got good publicity or not, but I figured since Daniels was the producer, he would have some kind of recognition, but it would seem not. I don't think there will be a season 3 which is a pity, especially when you get so much rubbish like 911 getting it's 10th season, but I guess it's all about the almighty dollar for the executives and their bonuses.
