''I've gone right off 'Fantasia'!''
Rabical-9120 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It is Old Wol's birthday and he is hopeful that his friend Reg will take him out for a birthday drink. The thing is, Reg has promised to take Irene to the pictures to see 'Fantasia'. He soon changes his mind however when Harry informs him that he is a member of a strip club and can sign them in as guests.

Arriving home several hours late and rather the worse for drink, Irene angrily demands to know where he has been. To get himself off the hook, he tells her he has been in the company of furrier with view to buying her a mink stole and sealed the deal with him by having a few drinks. Rather unbelievably, she falls for it. How is Reg going to get himself out of this mess?

Not one of the funniest episodes in the run. It gets far too sidetracked with all the to do over Reg trying to cover up all the lies he's told, getting himself in deeper holes which he himself digs, in rather the same manner as Stan Butler from 'On The Buses'. You could not have the same sympathy for Reg as you did Stan however. Stan usually was the victim of a problem which he was led into, Reg on the other hand was the root cause of his own misfortunes.

Funniest bit - at the pub, Reg as a joke models to his friends the mink stole he has just acquired for Irene and in doing so attracts unwanted attention from a very camp looking male customer!
