It is not as bad as people want you to think!
panta-416 May 2021
This is obviously a low budget film but there is quite an interesting concept which will be keeping you engaged until is revealed towards the end. From the reviews here, I can see that people didn't like it, but I do not think it was a bad movie.

Screenplay was the highlight for me, acting had some weak points and the directing was following basic safe rules for a film with a mysterious ending. Give it a go... maybe you will like it as I did!

There is an interesting Balkan connection there... not sure what to make out of it.

Not bad for what it is...
iamkrause5 September 2021
Saw this yesterday. I enjoyed it. Very disturbing and claustrophobic, especially if you like medical and body horror. Made the most of its limited budget. Unfortunately for me, I heard someone compare it to another film, so I knew what was going on from the start. But if you just go in blind, I think it's a fun way to spend 90 minutes. There are some really embarrassing green-screen effects at the very end, but it didn't ruin it for me. I was more like, awwwww that's cute that they tried that. I thought the lead actress did a fine job, the main doctor was good, and I enjoyed all the weird-o patients. I think the whole production team was sincere in their desire to make an enjoyable film, and I think they were successful. It's certainly not the best thing ever, but it shouldn't make you angry either. If the trailer intrigues you, give it a shot!

This was NOT terrible
comblitz11 May 2021
Seems a little familiar in the horror genre. A woman with appendicitis goes to a hospital and wakes up in a prison like hospital. What she discovers changes every thing. This was watchable. Not great, but the story held out pretty well with a decent ending.

Experimental low budget hospital indie? Sign me up!
petarilic3210 October 2021
I really didn't expect to like this film but damn was I surprised. I'm usually not into these kind of movies (don't want to spoil the ending), so liking it despite that makes it even better.

The story is very mysterious and intriguing, makes you question "why", "what", "where", all the time. It never gets dull. Most characters are interesting and the film gets you invested in the main protagonist.

Now, there are obvious flaws and holes in the plot but for the most part, it was an enjoyable indie horror. I saw the twist coming, was hoping it wasn't that kind of a twist but somehow even that worked decently well.

More indies like this! 5.5/10.

Cheap movie but still watchable
arcangelgleninion17 May 2021
The movie in general looks cheap but not to the point that it looks amateur. If you prefer movies that looks really expensive then it's not perfect for you. The story is straightforward. You'll already know the goal of the protagonist in the very beginning but there's just a bit surprise in the end. There are minor flaws that I've noticed and the acting wasn't really perfect but still forgivable because it has interesting story line.

Very Low Budget! Unoriginal. Oddly Enough, I Kind of Liked It!
collectorofsorts23 May 2021
We're not talking the best movie here. It's been done many times before and it's been done better. Much better. But, it does have some redeeming qualities and I actually liked it. Well, kind of. If you like low budget B-Movies, give it a watch. It won't make your day. But it's an OK'ish time killer.

You're Gonna Love the Cheese!
TheJonesBones2 September 2021
While it won't win any major awards, you won't regret curling up with this one on Halloween.

If the story and climax seem somewhat predictable, don't worry. It's the dressing and details that differentiate one attempt from another. This one moves. The plot keeps just enough mystery to make the final outcome uncertain and the players carry their characters well enough to maintain empathy and interest. If you are intrigued by Dante's perspectives of hell, then you'll especially enjoy this cinematic rendition of something similar.

So, what message does this vision deliver? Simple. Be good to one another because you'll never know how, when, where or why!

Watchable but overall troubling thriller Warning: Spoilers
After undergoing surgery in a hospital, a woman finds herself waking up in a strange underground facility with other patients trying out a mysterious antidote that will supposedly heal any kind of malady or injury, and the longer they stay there find the brutal procedures holding a darker secret than they expected.

This was a rather solid thriller with a few minor factors. One of the main positives here is the fact that there's so much to like with the setup and atmosphere of the situation. The idea of taking her hostage and keeping everything so secretive as they carry out a series of surprisingly intense setups that offer up some gruesome scenarios and surgical practices that go alongside the treatment they dole out to the different patients under their care. The entire setup is unnerving and chilling with how this unravels as the constant defiance and questioning simply bring about more time there which enables even more questions to arise the longer she's held there with their bizarre treatments. This includes all the brutal treatments that are carried out against her and the others which are quite fun with all the impressive gore on display during these scenes, which all make for a fun time here. There are a few issues with the film. The main problem is that the entire time this becomes frustrating how obvious the final twist is going to be. This takes the idea that the final half is going to be a grand, shocking revelation about her and what's supposed to be doing there but this is instead plainly obvious what's going on the second it keeps hammering home who all the strange visitors are who work around the hospital start showing up in the flashbacks that tell who she is and what's she's done in her past that are supposed to make her twist somewhat shocking but only signal the obvious. Indeed, that also highlights the other obvious factor in that the majority of the film features the same overall pattern of an escape attempt, punishment and then a conversation with another patient that spurs her to try another attempt. None of this is interesting or thrilling and tends to hold this one back considerably.

Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language and Brief Nudity.

A kind of film that isn't great but isn't terrible either.
sophimatar-8190118 May 2021
The plot of the movie is unusual.. it wasn't a very good movie, but, you can watch it ... Frankly ... The visual effects in the last five minutes of the movie were primitive and a little bit unprofessional as though they were made by amateur.

However, the plot was fresh, and the performance was good. :)

I made an account just to give this movie a bad rating. Don't watch, not worth. Special effects at the ending were phenomenal. Green screen was a 10/10.

Pretty good actually
Gabriel441617 May 2021
I can't fathom why this movie has received such low ratings.

Of course in 2021 it is difficult to come up with something completely original in any genre so nobody should expect to watch an instant classic here but if someone is into the dark, mysterious, kind of horrors with plot twists this is absolutely for them. Give this movie a chance everyone.

Low budget - yes, but the acting was great and the gore was decent, so I got what I wanted from this movie.

Better than I thought it would be.

A Jacob's Ladder situation
BandSAboutMovies12 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A woman is admitted into a hospital for emergency surgery, but then awakens trapped in a bizarre medical facility where patients are treated like lab rats, mutilated over and over again, then healed by doctors, as if they were in some afterlife version of The Man Behind the Sun. Is this heaven? It is hell? Or is it somewhere in between?

Director Peter Daskaloff also made Girls After Dark and Sex and the Single Alien, while writer Matt Toronto was the writer and director of Face 2 Face. They've put together a tense film that really leads one to question the answers to the fate of its characters. Yet without giving anything away, the ending feels like a cop-out after the film has painted itself into a corner. Ah well, you can't expect everything, right?

Probably the best-known actor in this movie would be Ashlynn Yennie, who you may recognize as Jenny, the rear section in The Human Centipede. Louis Mandylor, who was in the My Big Fat Greek Wedding series as Nick Portokalos is also in this. He was also the sheriff in Rambo: Last Blood. In fact, there are plenty of Greek actors in the cast.

Stupid take on Sartre
nicki_f26 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is such an idiotic movie. It's like Sartre's "No Exit," where hell is other people, but with a boring twist.

The "protagonist," if you can call her that, comes back from hell after the boyfriend she murdered absolves her, contradicting the doctor's claim that there's no absolution in hell.

Pass on this one. It's stupid.

The movie is not about any antidote
Neptune16519 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This movie name is wrong written by director I think his name is the hell pain. This movie was not good dont waste your time on such movie. What can be a bigger sin than killing a man. It was no accident he slashed his throat not as if she pushed him and he died...If she truly regretted she should have given herself to the police and let law take its course but no she did everything in her power to conceal her crime like a true criminal. Putting candles and flowers at the grave, what does that achieve!!

Interesting
ape-0813629 November 2021
This movie isn't near as bad as others on here say it is. It has a interesting spin to it I didn't see coming. It's not a great movie by any stretch but it's much better then a lot I've watched. I'm not mad I watched it like I was with Hardcore Henry that movie sucked.

When non sense become a movie
ks-6050026 May 2021
It's a typical class D movie that totally waste time of audience and producer yourself. Producer - why you do things that hurt the audience? Watching this is a torture!

Worth the watch!
Laurenosaur23 July 2021
I don't understand the mixed reviews on this one! It has enough gore to satisfy those seeking that (but not too much that it would be off putting to others), the main story has been done before but they manage to do it in a unique enough way that I was surprised with the twists and turns, the ending makes sense and gives you answers... which a loooot of horror movies don't do! Definitely will be recommending to my horror/thriller lovers.

I need that stuff for hangovers...
This one starts right off the bat doing a good job at being deterring from the low picture quality, stilted dialogue and spotty acting... yet still somehow ends up bringing you around into liking it.

There was a lot about this production that was low quality. It didn't particularly look very nice, picture quality or shot wise. The dialogue was wooden and the cuts from scene to scene were choppy. The acting was on the low side of mediocre all around except for the head doctor, he was good. At the end of the day a lot about this made it feel very amateurish.

Despite a lot of these negatives, I still quite liked this! It was engaging and entertaining. It wasted no time getting into the good stuff and kept up a solid pace throughout. Conceptually I quite liked this as well and saw a lot of potential. It was an interesting twist with a decent ending. I would love to see someone do a reimagining of this with a bit more finesse and budget, kinda like Last Shift/Malum. Would recommend.

Warning: Spoilers
This is not bad and the clues are there for you figure out the twist. It has enough going for it but it does not have the huge reveal that makes this a classic.

There are some really embarrassing green-screen effects at the very end
Neptune16519 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The green screen ending was so painful to watch. The dialogue was so so so so terrible. This might unintentionally be the worst movie ever created. So she's standing in a room and some guy just drops hanging from the ceiling? They're not even trying to be reasonable with this. I am just confused who are the people who tortured them are they even human? Like what human would endlessly torture other humans? It does not make sense for the woman to confess her sins to the doctors. The doctors present themselves as criminals who perform cruel experiments on unwilling prisoners. She has no reason to trust them. Without trust she has no reason to talk to them about her past life. She doesn't even know that this might be the right thing to do in her situation. It is not being made clear to her that she is being judged and that this is a form of punishment. From her point of view the doctors are torturing innocent people. They are the bad guys. And resisting bad guys is good. So by not cooperating with them she is actually doing the right thing from her point of view. She only gets to repent her sins, because she figures out the lies and her ex boyfriend wants to torture her out of revenge. The entire movie is just her having an out of body experience when she died for 15 seconds. I can't be the only person who is confused af on why she just smacked the medicine out the doctors hand. Idk why but it seems kinda stupid.
