Why so much hatred?
vitaming-9518614 July 2022
I'm a Marvel fan, I'm not a kid, I'm an adult and I loved it!!

Great character development, fun, colourful, loved the style and animations throughout. Stop being so down and serious and just enjoy. Can't wait for The Marvels!!

Some great theatrics to an already bland finale
Adam-0926513 July 2022
It's to the point where i didn't care for certain character arcs, the whole show was too quick and bland. Great for kids TV with some fairly decent effects to pass time. The story could have been made better but the execution was all over the place, this show was just a whole pacing mess.

6/10.

Very weak episode
miguelcesar13 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Not the worst one, but an episode that for me it fell to connect with me.

The Kamran plot is so stupid, he didnt do anything wrong but they wanted to turn him into almost villain character just to Kamala change his mind in 10s (at least they didnt went with the cliché of having kamran becoming a full villain just because he didnt took the time to listen to Kamala) In the MCU Pakistan and USA must be like 10 min away because somehow, Kamala and her mom where in their house in Pakistan in the same moment when Bruno's store went boom and they still return to USA, went home, the mom maker her the costume all in time to meet Bruno that had just left the train like 2h ago But this time of things are normal in this shows, so i dont take it in account Now, there was a lot of WTF moments for me in this finale.

Zoe being throw in the last episode just for the sake of having her being redeem.

All the plot of Kamran The way they made Kamala being name Ms Marvel is so unoriginal.

Some editing choose were so bad, like when Bruno and Kamran are in the alley, and they cut in so strange way to reveal Kamala

And they did the "pose scene showing the grow of the character" so many times in this show, particularly in this episode that the last one felt cheap.

The "you have a mutation" scene was to predictable and is pretty much clear that they only did it to create some hype around the finale

The DOD are just criminals and dumb officers of the law. By sidelining them for 4 ep just to make them the big villains... it didnt work.

Ms. Marvel started in a fresh and amazing way but with ep 4 it started to feel like every one mcu series.

It also feels like more 2 episodes would have help the show a lot.

In short, this show (for me) didnt connect with me.

It started with this amazing visual choices to become the most normal show in Disney Plus full with cliches.

I really hope this opinion is "wrong" and peolpe in general liked the show.

But for me is another mcu generic thing.

The Khans Are Marvelous!
rebelspitfire14 July 2022
This episode was a brilliant ending to the first season. The Khans are truly my new favorite TV family and I'm so happy to see the love and admiration they have for each other. The origins of Kamala's name, her friendships that led to her overall costume, and the way her community supports her were highlights in this episode. Yes there are two major reveals and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next for Ms. Marvel and the MCU. If you haven't watched this series for some reason, watch it! This is the wholesome TV people complain isn't around anymore. It's here and the Khans are bringing it!

This is Childish
sagar-swapna14 July 2022
Poor writing, poor directing I really dont know what Marvel was trying to achieve from it. This looks so amateur and childishly goofy in a bad way. The cast looks good but and a big but on rest of the team. Dont need a season 2.

AWESOME FINALE
enelson-0748113 July 2022
The last 2 episodes were decent, but felt rushed and as if they were heading towards a mediocre finale. But this exceeded my expectations. And the end credit scene! WOW! So confused. I have no idea what happened. But a good cliffhanger! Can't wait for next July to find out! This was truly amazing.

A messy ending to a messy show
harry-3451813 July 2022
Credit where credit is due this was fun and the action was ok. The finale failed due to no set up everything is coming into place so quickly that it doesn't work. Kamlas power change makes even less sense now and at the very end there is an on the nose reveal which makes no sense atall.

Whole show was pretty meh. Could have been wayy better considering the child actors were actually solid. Came across too much like a Disney channel show for me to take it seriously.

Disapointing
tipthewaitresstwice19 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I love watching mcu movies, but I love them for the sake of entertainment not to learn about politics and history. That's another thing. The biggest disappointment with this series was its highly unnatural scenes and twists. For example, Kamala's mother is always worried about her right from the start; there are frequent family dramas going on because of their culture and the fact that Kamala is just a teenager with ambitions and secrets. All well. That happens in almost every family and more so in the ones with muslim origins. But the twisting point where they all find out about Kamala's powers... it is almost disgusting how the mother underreacts! Plus she makes a super-hero costume for her daughter who she's been soo protecting all this time?? I mean come on. That tells me Marvel will sacrifice quality of series over their pre-set length limit. Which is not good at all. Another thing is how, during the final action scene, people (including the mother and the father!!) are watching a teenager being shot at and surviving brutal attacks. I don't know if it's me, but it is just NOT natural, man! How can you stand there getting all excited and even clapping when your teenage girl is fighting people with gun with a weird bangle?! It's like all they need is just a box of popcorn while watching the action scene. Not natural, not nice. And it is a recurrent scene in almost every movie. Cut it out marvel, you can do better. I get it that it's a science-fiction, but these nuances need to be realistic. People have real, lasting feelings!

The previous episodes set this finale up to be a guaranteed failure. Plus the wrong big reveal...
frankiesilver-9183614 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
After the last two episodes being mostly awful, we finally go back to New Jersey.

Kamala's family instantly trusting her as a superhero is so baffling. Basically, everyone knows her secret identity now.

The finale thankfully has little to do with the dumb Clandestine storyline, but what we're left with isn't much better. Other than a few left with isn't much better. Other than a few cute scenes the story isn't tense or entertaining. The school montage is very unrealistic and goofy.

Not to mention the concept of soldiers shooting kids in a school is just widely unrealistic within itself. Or that everyone showed up because a teen posted a TikTok. It's so hard to take what's going on seriously.

I don't feel any emotional impact when Kamran is told his mom died. We never saw any form of a real relationship between them on the show. Because of this, Kamran's entire emotional outburst has no weight to it.

I will say the way Kamala gets the name Ms. Marvel is a bit of a stretch but kinda cute.

And a positive like always is the music.

But then there's the ending. After the show hinted at Inhumans lore the entire time while also having a stupid Noor/Djinn change, they finally made me think they were gonna call her an Inhuman, only to claim she's a mutant. It's nice to finally see the idea of mutants surface, but it was definitely one of the most disappointing ways to do so. Especially since it's with a character who shouldn't even be a mutant. It's plain stupid and a big slap in the face to all Inhuman fans.

This reveal is paired with a terribly confusing end-credits scene that together wraps up the season with another not-great episode. This feels like an episode exclusively for children maybe more than any episode yet. They tried their hardest to wrap up this mess in an episode better than the last two but still bad.

Cartoonish and wonderful finale from a great TV show
namob-4367313 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As with this entire show I cannot help having a smile on my face throughout the episode. Sure it is silly, this is cartoonish, and it does not always make sense but it is also fun, escapist, and lovely. This feels like a superhero show from the 1980s only with better computer graphics. If I was a kid this would be my favourite TV show.

Of course there are a couple of negatives such as the police lady and her nonsense. The ridiculous setup in the school was a bit over the top.

But who cares about some smaller negatives? This is so much fun.

And we got Captain Marvel showing up! I gave the episode a 10/10 for that alone. And I will upgrade the show from 8/10 to a 9/10 for that fantastic post credit scene and we who know the comics have a pretty good idea what is going on and what happen. I am so looking forward to The Marvels.

Great ending, wonderful show, and if you do not like this your only defence is that you are a jaded boring person who forgot your childhood. For the rest of you; watch this! TV does not get much better.

Nada Normal
foxbrvar9 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Ms Marvel (2022)

Finished Series #13

Season 1

Episode Six - Nada Normal

The other time I watched it, I liked it more, this time I really only liked the first two episodes. It's not worse than She-Hulk, at least, because I believe it will be difficult for MCU to make a production as bad as She-Hulk, but I don't doubt it at all.

There wasn't even a villain, right?

Juliana Paes gave up halfway through and I believe she didn't even fight directly against Ms Marvel, her boyfriend turned into an evil "nothing" like the villain from Frozen and Damage Control can't even be considered a villain since they were defeated by marbles.

I liked the first episodes more because of the different design and drawing on the walls and floor, but then it stopped and episodes 4 and 5 were bad, I just didn't give these episodes a low rating of 5, because of the Ms Marvel actress that I liked , but other than that, the series was pretty so-so.

Previous Series: She-Hulk: Defensora de Heróis (2022)

Next Series: Everything Sucks! (2018)

Thirteenth Series Completed.

Marathon of the Ms Marvel miniseries started and ended on May 8, 2024.

Episode Rating: 6/10.

Series Rating: 7.17/10.

Seriously?
easymoney_dre14 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This has to be the worst finale in recent Marvel history and the worst episode of this series.

After already messing her origin story, are you seriously going to tie mutants to her now?? What happened to the Inhumans??

Seriously Marvel?? Here is where we get our first mutants reference in the MCU??

If you gave this 10/10 you are either high on crack or are being paid by Disney to leave good reviews.

Phase 4? The MCU ended after Endgame and thats just the sad truth we have to accept.

Thank God for The Boys.

It was good
ingra8813 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
After watching all 6 episodes, it was good but not perfect, more for the kids than adults... which is what is needed once in a while for live action marvel superheroes.

Biggest plot hole no body on earth actually knows of Carol Danvers aka Cpt. Marvel, or even seen her as all her battles were either done in space or away from mass human eyes like Endgame, don't forget she never made a public appearance in front of cameras in this universe so how do people even know what she looks like or even existed!

Anyway The actress that played Ms Marvel, did a fantastic job.

It was very, very messy script from the start!

Too many questions not enough or even no answers Kamala.gets her answers half baked from her gran and her own mother is oblivious to what is going on!

They're like they're not even related!

At least her own mother should know something of her own upbringing with strange things going on?

I can honestly see there will not be a season 2!

It is the weakest of all Marvel MCU, even 'Iron fist' was weak but still more entertaining!

Hawkeye.. no-body in that series had any superpowers but that was so action pact with a brilliant story line!

This is not religion, or colour of skin or gender .... It's very poor story telling!

Look to it's comic origins for inspiration to see why it was popular....that....they could not bother to do!

Great to see Brie Larson at the end!

I can't believe they said THAT WORD we were all waiting for
jssfranch13 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Oh my god! Did they really say that? What all the MCU fans have been waiting for? Yes! They did say THAT WORD, and it came up with 5 seconds of the most beloved soundtrack.

Loved this show. Kudos to everyone on it. Peace.

CHILDISH
adeel-3022213 July 2022
The whole episode was so childish that it lost the realism of its characters. How re Kamala's family so much okay, okay with her fighting out on streets? Again the music choice is good. And again, that ko ko korina reference was great!

Stumbled in penultimate, but made up for it!
ahalley13 July 2022
Last week was a little worried things in Ms. Marvel were falling apart. The Clandestine plot felt shoehorned in, Kamran getting powers was odd, and the time travel caused more confusion than was necessary. And the DODC? Are they a big enough threat going into the finale?

The finale itself felt so much like a return to the show it started as. Kamala in Jersey doing things with her friends, and this time she is a hero. All the interactions between characters were fun, the graphics came back to the animated style of the beginning, and ultimately I didn't mind the DOCD. Basic antagonistic force, but it's season 1. She's not gonna be facing down a Thanos, or even a Green Goblin level threat yet.

I do feel like the Karachi portion of the series should have been saved for a season 2, so overall the season felt like two very different things. But this finale made me smile, and I'm happy to finally see Kamala in her full Ms. Marvel outfit, and off on whatever adventure that post-credits scene teased.

Okay but slightly rushed finale
snoozejonc3 October 2022
This is a reasonably good finish to a series that feels like it's primary job is to complete the origin story of the character and integrate her into the MCU.

There is plenty of fun in the story as we see Kamala use her powers to deal with various threats in a refreshingly non-violent way. At the same time there is a great sense of community and solidarity from her friends and family that feels good.

That aside it does feel a bit messy at times. A lot happens in a shorts space of time. Character arcs are simply resolved, action spectacle is delivered, connections are made to the MCU, and a big hint is made towards a previously acquired movie franchise being integrated into the MCU. Moving the action to Pakistan for two episodes lost some of the momentum associated with the New Jersey characters for me.

Performances are strong, particularly Iman Vellani who is a likeable lead, but I am not a fan of the some of the dialogue exchanges that feel rushed a mumbled at times. The responsibility for this lies with the director to slow down the speakers.

For me it's a 6.5/10 but I round upwards.

I just laughed but not at the jokes
AshBoshog13 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Her family just randomly starts being cool with everything they just change their entire personality from episode 1 and 2. Kamram or what his name was randomly asking what happend to this mother in pakistan for no reason just to make a final fight scene.

Stupid show that had no reason to exist just like Hawkey I just watched it because I think its entertaining to laugh at how bad it actually is.

Easily the best D+ show
xbqygqnw13 July 2022
Wow. That was epic. Kamala is probably my favorite new hero in phase 4. It breaks my heart to see this show review bombed because either people did not watch beyond the first 2 episodes or hate it for other reasons (cough racism cough). This episode made me really excited for the marvels and this is coming from someone who didn't care for the first Captain marvel.

Ms Marvel vs Thor 4 for the most immature MCU Product
gokulmadhu-3753713 July 2022
Started boring and ended with a mess without any emotional depth.

Personalities of surrounding characters are literally polar opposite suddenly.

The plot is just ridiculous, mind numbingly stupid and childish.

Dialogues are so clumsy.

I honestly liked Ms Marvel as a character(the except for the romance parts), but the show just sucked so bad.

Season 2??
rghathway13 July 2022
Here's hoping there's a second season so we can follow Kamala's evolution with all of the mistakes that teenagers make. We'd also like too see how her friends and family cope with this.
