Great Thriller

Dialogues get muffled by music at many places
alokjain-2327211 August 2021
The series is good but will get a boost in its viewership and ratings if dialogues were not muffled by louder music at many places. In absence of subtitles, it becomes all the more difficult to guess what the person is saying..

The Raikar case :Web series streaming on Voot Select
This 7 episode whodunit by Aditya Sarpotdar is an excellent binge watch option for fans of this genre.
The series starts off with a young scion of a powerful business clan falling off a cliff & committing suicide. A simple open and shut case right ? No.. wait , this is where the fun begins. Is the truth as simple as it looks or is there something else lurking in the shadows. It depicts the lives of a powerful business family from Goa, the Naik Raikars where every member of the family has a secret to hide and everybody has a shade of grey in them. Each episode has been slickly directed and starts off with the enactment of the suicide/murder of the young scion by each of the suspects. Murky business deals, political ambitions, sexual perversions & illicit affairs are all woven intricately in the storyline which makes it an interesting watch.
The casting has been very well handled with Atul Kulkarni, Neil Bhoopalam, Parul Gulati, Ashwini Bhave, Kunal Karan Kapoor , Lalit Prabhakar & Ajay Purkar playing their parts very well. Atul Kulkarni & Ashwini Bhave have really given standout performances.
Each episode is cleverly written to tempt the viewer to binge on to the next one.
Not as intense as Asur, this one is a great watch for viewers who like mysteries served less dark. Eagerly waiting for Season 2.

watchable (7/10)

Atul kulkarni ,ashvini bhawe & lalit prabhakar did very good job with the acting but other actors just sucked. Even if the story is very good & gripping it lacks to excite me for the next season. Direction is just average. One good part is that every episode ends with a cliffhanger. If you can ignore the acting part of it then you will love the show cause of it's gripping story. Overall it's a good show with not so good acting. Parul gulati's voice tone is always same in every movies.. no matter which character she potray she will always be parul. A watchable show if you only focus on story.(7/10)
Love it from the beginning to the end

Must watch webseries. It about family, betrayal, secrets and power. It keep you guessing and every character had grey shades. There are some twist and turns and the end is a surprise. Everyone understood their character very well and gave their best - Parul's character was not 100% convincing for me. Few actors that really left an impact on me was Kunal Karan Kapoor, Atul KulKarni, Ashwini Bhave and Lalit Prabhakar. Waiting for season2.
Mediocre acting but Great story line

You will be hooked no doubt from the start. Has an engaging story line. Every episode revolves around one of the family member and his/her secrets. Of course viewer is left guessing who could have done the deed.
Only minus point according to me was the mediocre acting.
I love watching whodunits and it was a good one.
There is a lot left to explore in the series.
Hope the second season gets released soon.

A well made story that lacks depth
ytetcetc11 April 2020
The show is well made, but nothing can compensate weak writing. The characters fail to develop, too many plots with not enough screen time for any one. Finally, ends in a cliched predictable line. Execution quality is clearly visible though, which makes it bearable and one time watch. But nothing to look forward to, may not even watch a second season, if any.
A great whodunnit
serialchiller-916859 April 2020
A superlative whodunnit in the Indian web series space. Investigation has loop holes but you don't mind them as the journey upto the revelation keeps you hooked and the director just makes you see and hear what he wants to and not otherwise. Backed by some amazing performances by Atul Kulkarni, the badass Ashvini Bhave, Kunal Kapoor and Neil Bhoopalam. Delight to see marathi heartobe lalit Prabhakar igniting the screen. A great watch
Good one

Gripping but Bollywood is going away from culture
rocksmani15 January 2023
Liked the series. Story is gripping and doesn't reveal the suspense until last episode. Every actor has done justice to their roles and very impressive. Atul Kulkarni's acting, goa scenes and a gripping story is what you need. You should'nt miss this if you are looking for a mystery thriller. What i have been observing off late especially in bollywood movies and series is that they are showing gay relationships. I am not against it however i feel pity for producers/directors because they are not able to produce any shows without sex, esp gay sex! I cannot watch anything with Family when it comes to Bollywood hence most of us have switched to south India shows/movies because their direction is amazing, close to culture and can watch with family. They dont do too much copy paste like Bollywood does and people dont spend or shouldn't spend money to watch their movies at all. I am glad all south India movies are coming with Hindi and other audio languages which is helping them get more audiences and i just love it!
this show will not disappoint you

Seems intriguing until the last few episodes

I don't understand the havoc made by this web series on voot. I purchased voot select for an year to watch this, seeing its rating On IMDb but then it just disappoints at the end. The story is about family, betrayal and power and seems like the old school. Every episode starts or end with a new suspect but doesn't make any good impression with viewers!
Good but not extraordinary to get rating so high!
The Best Suspense

Above average story below average acting

Story is good. But look like Parul Gulati and Neil bhupalam doesn't know A of Acting. They have wasted big opportunity. Atul Kulkarni is good actor but he is not legendary like Irrfan khan or Amir khan that he can alone carry whole series on His Shoulder. And I guess producers are not that much poor that they cannot afford Randeep hooda in place of Neil bhupalam, Some how story is good and make me wait for 2nd Part.
A lot of flaws in the plot
