Even a Tame Teenage Hippopotamus!? An International Adventure of Amazing Animals!
michaelasslack1 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand why Cybela Clare is not a household name! She is by far the most charismatic and entertaining host I have ever seen. Cybela's hands-on approach to wild exotic animals is unique: both daring and loving, simultaneously. She is fearless and the animals seem to understand this, reacting to her in a spontaneous and friendly manner.

Her intimate rapport can be seen with elephants, a cheetah, a rhino, and even a hippopotamus who nibbled on Cybela's toes in the water! Cybela not only swims with elephants, she even dances the Charleston with them!

This stunning documentary is like a non stop international romp through the animal kingdom, spanning four continents as we travel with Cybela from Brazil to South Africa, throughout Thailand and back across North America.

The touching story of the rehabilitated bald eagle, 'Freedom', who helps to heal her rescuer from cancer, brought me to tears.

I absolutely adored this film and give it the highest recommendation to all animal lovers.

If I could give it TEN stars I would

Loved It!

A touching and heartfelt film that shows true connection between all creatures. Found myself a little jealous over a couple experiences in there. Playing with a baby elephant would be awesome!!

A unique animal adventure that demonstrates their high intelligence and human bonding

Cybela has given us a brilliant and evocative documentary that emphasizes our ability to communicate with our fellow creatures. She explores the relationship of a broad range of animals from birds, elephants, hippos, farm animals to people. Animal intelligence is emphasized and how its communication mutually benefits us. We can learn from them and share the planet harmoniously. The photography is spectacular which enhances the animal adventure. This is a must see film for its education and sheer pleasure.

A lot of fun (and a lot to learn)

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a big fan of the films of Cybela Clare. Either you're going to get a movie about horrific alien hybrid and human conspiracies, how we have to take care of animals or one about how we have to take care of animals and battle the aliens that are trying to take over our world.

The first movie of hers that I saw was Bird's Eye View - An ET's Solution for Humanity, which I described as a spy adventure as well as a real-life version of Footprints on the Moon with no Klaus Kinski to abuse our heroine.

This one is just a lot simpler.

It's just about animals.

From Thailand to Brazil and across North America, Cybela meets caretakers who rescue and rehabilitate animals, who in turn give them back love. You'll watch her bathe with elephants and dance with them, as well as meet rescued farm animals and even a bald eagle named Freedom.

I was waiting for the reveal of Draconians behind all of this, but it never comes. No, this is an incredibly relaxing journey along with Cybela. Not into a world where black pyramids lie in horrifying wait below Alaska, but one where cute animals need her help.

That said, it does take place in the same universe where Cybela was abducted as a child and lost her bird Spooky.

Exploiting Elephants isn't okay just because you give them a little bath and a prosthetic leg!
