This was amazing. A very deep study of OCD and mental health issues. Our main character Aly reached a point where OCD completely consumed her daily life, her every action and every thought. Her psychiatrist gave her some solid advice and that was that she has to face her demons, she has to break the patterns of obsession. Ally always felt that she had to do everything three times to feel ok, to feel safe. At some point 3 masked people get inside her house trying to kill her. The reality was that these three people were never there. These people were symbolic for her obsession of doing everything 3 times. At the end she was able to break the pattern and then these people disappeared, meaning that she gained control over her obsession. I really love this idea and symbolism, it was very powerful, emotional and intense. The film is very atmospheric and you feel anxious about what will happen next. It has suspense, a good story that feels original and a fantastic performance by the actress. Very solid overall, it feels special. My rating is 8.5/10.

beautiful parable

In many senses, impressive. First, for wise translation of the OCD in a sort of parable about fears, rituals, obsession. Second - for atmosphere. Not the last, for inspired end. And, no doubts, for the bloody water, the towel and the knife in the sink. And , sure, for the beautiful job of Hannah Barefoot.
