There's a trend in the softcore film business in which the "plot" of the film is a wraparound story with a few people sitting around telling sex stories which are illustrated by simulated sex clips. In many of those films, the dialogue is boring drivel whose sole purpose is to introduce the sex scenes, which often turn out to be reused archive footage from older softcore sources (like "The Best Sex Ever" series). Fortunately, this film is an example of the wraparound story done well.
In this case, the wraparound story with the cast and crew of a TV talk show conniving, sniping and having sex with each other is fairly entertaining, and even the erotic stories shared by the callers are reasonably interesting. The four actors in the wraparound story are all veterans who do a decent job of acting, a bit awkward at times, but also delightful in places. On the other hand, the "voice talents" (probably members of the film crew) used for the callers are mostly stiff, and there's a couple of noticeable gaffes. At one point a male caller's voice changes from one sentence to the next, and the voice of the caller introducing Chloe's sex clips has a very thick Latino accent, even though Chloe is a fair skinned, red headed girl of Irish descent.
The sex scenes are shot in what I refer to as the "new voyeuristic style" which is becoming more common. There's lots of dim natural lighting and shadows, and the scenes have the feel of being shot with home video equipment (albeit good quality), and some of them are shot as if the cameraman is "peeping" from around a corner, through a doorway or window, or from under or behind a piece of furniture.
The 19 simulated sex scenes range from below average to excellent, but with most of them being good or better. There's plenty of variety in terms of actors, sexual positions, and setups, and the scenes are mostly medium length with both good sexual sounds and pleasant music. There's a few threesomes, one girl/girl scene and even a few instances of simulated fellatio (which many softcore films avoid). All the actors/actresses are attractive, and most of the ladies have natural breasts.
The nice surprise in this film is that the 15 sex scenes used to illustrate the callers' stories appear to be new footage instead of the typical archive footage. They have the same look and feel as the four sex scenes in the wraparound story, and I don't recognize them from other sources. If they were not shot for this film, then at least some care was taken in selecting them because they match the callers' stories fairly well (except for being different voices). Theses scenes have a nice mix of new faces and old pros (Chloe, Amy Lindsay, Mandy Fisher, Frank Harper, Jason Schnuit, etc.).
Overall... lotsa very good sex scenes and an interesting wraparound story makes for a very good softcore film.
