A tale of two glam girls, basically, as Ruby continues to make an impact on the Bay and Nicole continues to deepen as a character. Nicole's loneliness and isolation fail to be noticed by anyone as Roman assumes she will be pleased to get out of spending time with him. It's telling that when she finds out he's slept with Charlie she's hurt rather than amused.
Ruby cuts a swathe through the Bay, effectively moving there without telling anyone and beautifully manipulating Martin.The moment where she hugs Morag, and Alf's reaction, is the episode's comedy highlight. Pat continues to impress as well;despite Ross' attempts to paint him as a loser, he comes across as a kind young man who genuinely cares for Ruby.Although his habit of referring to Ross as "Rosso" means either he really is that stupid or he's just trying to wind him up.
Jai's choice of Axel as a new best friend is slightly worrying, although at least he's willing to stand up for him against the latest promoted extra.And it's nice that he's getting on better with Miles now.
