Pathetic movie pathetic acting wastage of time, more than 10 years of acting career still she doesn't know how to act. She can only be an eye candy (that too if she looses weight).

Director seems high while making this movie. Nothing is relatabale donot waste your time watching this. Neha the good actress should work in better film or these kind of films wil ruin her career.

Except Neha everything is worst in this movie. Neha should choose better story and director to work with.

Worst direction seems like it was nukkad natak.

Set in a small town, the movie offers a novelty factor to it. The subject matter is unique. A suspenseful ending adds to the beauty. Great production designing and direction. All in all a good watch.

Recently I watched Aafat-e-Ishq on Zee OTT. I mean I just accidentally stumbled upon it upon knowing that it was an official remake of Liza , Fox Fairy...Hungarian Award winner. That aspect of it being a remake/adaptation was enough to spike my curiosity as I have always been interested in Indian remakes and had really liked them! Sadak inspired from Taxi Driver and Ghulam...an Indian remake of On the waterfront. There is this article also I wrote on the art of existential adaptation years ago. Anyways...coming back to film, I have to say that I liked it.

I mean...yes there was a slowing down of narrative and at times I felt that it is a bit difficult to watch the film but the characters and the meticulous visual design really made me admire this little quirky film with a heart. Neha Sharma evoked sympathy as the innocent protagonist of the movie who is dealing with a curse serves as the foundation of the film but what really made it different than others was this Burtonesque (Tim Burton) world director Indrajit Nattoji has created. The director is known for his visual art and the posters he had made for the film Sandeep and Pinky Faraar was top notch along with the awesome hand-painted Rang Saari video he directed. The visual flair, love for the animation and the impulse it make it feel postmodern and an experience to go through rather than the movie to watch is present in Aafat-e-Ishq. Deepak Dobariyal as the funny Metal music loving cop is brilliant and I really longed to see more of his character. Namit Das really performed his character well and has a funny and endearing presence throughout the film; only in the end it was a delight to know why he was like that. The best section o the film which is kinda savior the film as far as main stream audience is concerned is the end and has a genuine heartbeat to it !

The movie really felt like an ensemble of curious characters in the tradition of mainstream Indie cinema and that is where it stood out for me. It is clear that this movie was aiming to be entertaining not aiming to be what we call filmy and box office pleaser and that I guess gives it a sort of amateur spirit and visual flair. Aafat-e-Ishq felt like the one made by a painter with a heart who has stepped in the world of cinema and trying to make people see the medium differently. Perhaps that is where it succeeds and also perhaps that is where it fails. Even if it doesn't feel like a movie hasn't worked in totality, it is a effort to be really encouraged and expect promise from. Remember Aks (2001) .when it came audience panned it because it was unusual and surreal and Hindi film audience wasn't ready for that (although it is one of the favorite film of mine). The point is that it was the glimpse of a vision who would claim his place in cinema pantheon later with Rang De Basanti. I don't know why but this movie reminded me of Aks but will this sort of vision will lead to something really remarkable in future. Only time can tell. I am keeping some hope for sure.

Interesting, refreshing watch, fun and enjoyable, how can anything with even a glimpse of Ila Arun and Amit Sial be anything less than good (it's 100 times better than hum do hamare do, not that it's any kind of benchmark, felt so as watched both on the same day)

Namit Das and Deepak Dobriyal have done some excellent work.

Different kind of bollywood Romantic movie where neha is so innocent in the movie & the character of Deepak Dobriyal was too good, so overall it is not a must watch movie if you don't have enough time you skip the movie...😍😍😍

A Dark horror/romance movie? I would say it was an experiental movie created by the director which went well, really well. Neha did one of her best jobs in this movie.

Title is misleading. It should be changed. Movie was unique, engaging plot and quirky characters. Definitely worth a watch. Performances were superb. Neha Sharma was a surprise package.

I found this movie slow and lacking logic... at the start. As the story unfolded and the layers laid and revealed, it sucked me and I could not stop watching.

When the climax is reached, it isn't exactly an unexpected plot twist... but rather it feels like the story unfolding as it should - further revelation of themes and the plot continuing to suck you in and preparing you for the denouement and resolution... after which you have that satisfied feeling you only get with great storytelling. There is also enough comedy to make the movie fun to watch without it becoming intrusive or forced. If the story isn't enough reason to watch the movie, it also includes beautiful animation sequences perfectly embedded into the story.

So so happy that this film got made and kudos to the entire team and people who backed this project and such cinema. Great casting, performances and of course has the director's unique take on the genre with its storytelling and vibe. Loved the quirks with metal music loving investigating cop (a never-seen-before character) in Hindi cinema perhaps :). It did remind me of the 90's Ch-V days with its honest and creative pursuit of comedy in a new manner. Deepak Dobriyal is brilliant as usual and to my mind the most underrated actor. Must watch and hoping this guy makes more movies!

Super fun movie ..it has an interesting concept in it which is making it more fun to watch it....superb direction done....loved the way the story has been potrayed....👍👍👍

Writing this review because read a totally wrong and inaccurate reveiw here. Well the is not run of the mill boy meet girl story with some songs.

Good acting , fantastic cast, creativity a along , do not understand the negative reviews.

Starting of movie was good you know it's true when we read some stories book we thought we are the lead character of the book and really it's happen sometime ,but anyway I am here to give you shortnote of aafat-e-ishq movie and the above mention point are also part of it , okie for me movie not disappoint me because may be this kind of things like in the movie I saw is really happen in real life too. And most important thing always remember, mom always say don't touch or take it strange or anything from the road but In the end I'm not going to write here go & watch it ......

I saw the trailer and decided to watch it. Spoiler alert! The trailer has many spoilers. But it was still unpredictable and fun. Watch if you want a palette cleanser from the run of the mill bollywood films. The movie is quirky and fun. Not the hold your belly and laugh kind of comedy, nor a gory horror flick. In fact I don't know what catagory to put this film in, nor should you have to. Enjoy the visual treat of the picturization and the brilliant performance of Neha Sharma and Amit sial.

This movie is very different, at first you think its going to be a murder mystery, the way it starts .but soon you get absorbed into the details.very subtle things that have been cleverly thought of. Won't give spoilers .lots of characters could have been cut out altogether without changing the story ,and thus making the film shorter and more engaging. I enjoyed with friends.

Brought a fresh flavour of storytelling... Neha was amazing and the storyline is gripping. This is a movie with an archival value. Do watch it to have a fresh perspective and some good fun.

Mysterious title, horror starting, romantic elements, innocence, romance, dance, songs, exciting storyline, in short i can say nothing cause words cannot describe the joy, enjoyment, excitement, amazingzess and feeling of mine after watching this. Thank you for such a soothing exciting film, dear Indrajit Nattoji sir...amazing performance of Neha Sharma ma'am, Namit Das sir , Amit Sial sir, Deepak Dobrial sir and the whole team. Congratulations it is a rock on.

I really Enjoyed this movie as it was very Entertaining & had a Good Laugh.. while watching, reminded me of my favourite Director Hrishikesh Mukherjee Da who used to make these kind of Comedy Movies.. The Director & All Actors have done Good Job.. I would recommend to all movie lovers as this movie is Very Enjoyable..

This film is Burtonesque shot in the Hindi heartland. And if you are Tim Burton fan like me who likes absurd, darkly funny, fantasy stories, then this one is definitely for you.

The film kept me guessing till the end (as I have not seen the original film it's based on), I was very curious and was hoping the film shouldn't let me down, as most of them do. And thank god it DIDN'T. It lived up to it's expectation. And what an end to the mystery.

Loved all the characters who played their part to its best. Especially, Illa Arun, who is fantabulous as the crazy but loving old woman.

Go watch it and do give it a 10/10 if you want to see more of such content in Indian cinema. Such gems are not everyone's cup of tea.

Not a run of a mill story,very different,give it a watch! Neha Sharma did a great job,watch with an open mind and if you want to watch something refreshing and not following the norm,great concept!!!
