MTV is waiting

Typical pretentious film school fare, but oh my, Sandra Ahrabian, she is hot beyond belief. Think Nicole Scherzinger, but less of a fitness freak. A bona-fide beauty queen of Persian descent and a small-time TV personality in her day job, she plays Violet, a sexy single with nothing to hide. We watch her as she gets ready for the night (and a bit of butchering), and like any self-respecting scream queen she goes to bed wearing prom night makeup and luscious lingerie. We see her from close up, as well as through a window, from the point of view of an ominous stalker looming outside. As it turns out, he is being watched by someone even more nosy in turn. This set-up says it all. "Anyone there?" is an exercise in voyeurism. I wish it wouldn't claim otherwise, and flash Sandra's assets some more instead. I say six points for her smile alone, and for framing her physique so lovingly. Maybe rookie writer-director Holger Frick should try his hand at music video clips. He has what it takes.

cool story with perfect choice of music

This film contains a perfect mix of views (the stalker view from the outside of a house/ window and the insight view). Showing a stunning girl getting ready for the night. The music is perfectly chosen and supports the story in a great way. Anyone there? is the title and exactly this question everyone has asked before in a similar situation. And this movie shows what everyone once had in his mind while asking...could it be, there is someone? The face of the stalker is not shown, just his shadow carrying an ax. In that Moment it does not look to good for the girl, but the next scene shows the girl with blood on her shirt and behaving as nothing has happened (just normal night). I would say this is maximum thrill you can pack into a short movie!!
