Flat, disappointing rom-cam
lor_5 August 2020
With Jessica Drake reciting lots of voice-over narration, this Michael Raven-directed vehicle for her at Wicked is a decidedly lesser effort, uninteresting and unrewarding.

Jess is searching for true love, while slaving away at a most unrewarding job as copywriter creating jingles for adman Randy Spears. Randy's performance is hammy and one of his poorest.

Egged on by co-worker August, she reluctantly decides to try out lesbians, after a comical montage showing how questionable the guys are she samples for dating (they're played by handy crew members including hambone Chunk). She finds a kindred spirit in Moonbeam, played by less quirky than usual (despite her character's hippie moniker) Dana DeArmond. In corny rom-com fashion they delay coitus for many reels, including a throwback S.O.L.I. montage, leading to an anti-climax happy ending.

This is at best lukewarm stuff, with plenty of extraneous sex footage thrown in.
