Sex & Nudity

  • The film contains no physical nudity. There is one particular scene recreating a man's encounter with a prostitute in which the man begins removing his clothes, ending up in boxer shorts and a t-shirt. The prostitute is dressed provocatively, revealing some cleavage, but once again, no nudity.
  • There is a scene in which several sexual "toys" are scene scattered around a motel room. A man picks up a woman's vibrator and begins to give it a name.
  • There are several references to "hookers" and prostitution. Some of these slang terms are used in a derogatory manner, suggesting the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. A man discusses that he's had the same prostitute as another man and recommends her services.
  • A hotel clerk is heard on the phone with a girl. We hear him asking if she's "on the rag". After her inaudible response, we hear him ask if they can "just do it in the shower".
  • A couple listens through a wall as a woman is heard moaning in the motel room next door. In the same scene, sounds of a cracking whip can also be heard. It is assumed they are having sex.
  • An older man is seen and heard making suggestive comments at a young woman. He rudely harasses her and makes comments regarding her breasts. He goes on to snoop through her motel room window suggesting that she should have sex with him while her husband watches.

Violence & Gore

  • The film contains no gore.
  • A man is savagely hit by a speeding vehicle. He is seen lying on the ground with several bruises. Little blood is visible.

Profanity

  • The film contains a very heavy use of profanity throughout.
  • The "F" word is used at least 50 times in various manners. There are several other profanities, mostly used to express anger over a certain situation. The coarse language is seldom used to insult or anger somebody directly; however there is a fair amount of profane name calling.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A young man is discussed as having an alcohol problem. He is seen slightly intoxicated throughout the film; however it's not obvious or overwhelming.
  • A couple discusses quitting cigarette smoking, but we see them smoking cigarettes alone at different parts of the film.
  • An old man and a young woman are seen smoking a cigarette outside.
  • A man insists another man smokes a cigarette with him and he lights two cigarettes for them both.
  • A woman is seen taking pills. It is suggested by her mannerisms that she is taking more than the recommended dosage.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A woman goes missing and a build up of suspense arises as the man begins to have a panic attack while searching for her.
  • A woman is heard screaming and crying over the phone while her husband suffers from a heart attack in front of her.
  • In an intense jump scene, a man is brutally gunned down by a speeding vehicle.
