How bad is that!
Sergiodave24 August 2021
If you can watch this movie for more than twenty minutes and if you can watch appalling actors without wincing you are a braver man than me, my son. Avoid like the plague.

Cheese imminent

I didn't find this film plausible as everyone knows the moon is hollow and the aliens on the dark side of the moon would simply laser any incoming meteorites to ensure the study of planet earth was not disrupted.

Risible nonsense
christopher.jones30 December 2021
To quote a certain Bart Simpson: "I didn't think it possible, but this both sucks and blows" The acting has the ripe hum of an extra mature gorgonzola and the space/science narrative is in danger of disappearing up its own fundamental particle. Cheapo CGI does nothing to enhance the barely-credible story line. What a shocking piece of schlock.

Keyword, "inconsistent"
pidstr2 January 2021
Ridiculous timeline, too much technobabble dialog, on top of inconsistent visual looks, inconsistent CGI quality control, and very inconsistent acting. Sure, Asylum, but they could have done so much more if they'd been consistent in production quality control, even at this budget.

This was Bad, even for a Asylum movie
enkildr24 February 2021
Don't get me wrong I knew it wasn't going to be a masterpoece as it was an Asylum movie but this is one of there poorest efforts. I'm perfectly OK with a lot of their movies, you sit back and watch it knowing they are going to far fetched or cheaply made, but for light entertainment these movies are often watchable if you dont take them seriously. Some others because they are so bad its fun. This wasn't any of that, this was so Bad it was just Bad. Talk about overacting. Every scene was forced. Oh God, the props.. I've seen better props on Thunderbirds are Go cartoon. I know they've made a few Shark movies and I think they forgot this wasn't one because they were 'Jumping the Shark' constantly. Lowest score I've ever giving an Asylum film as usually there is something that redeems it a bit. Definitly the worst Asylum film I've seen. Youve been warned!

Oh, it's bad alright...
paul_haakonsen3 January 2021
The very moment that I saw the logo from The Asylum, I must admit that my expectations for the 2020 movie titled "Meteor Moon" went from being small to becoming none. Yeah, The Asylum aren't exactly known for making stellar movies. Sure, once in a blue moon they put out a movie that is actually worth the time and effort, but "Meteor Moon" wasn't one such movie.

I must admit that I was lured in by the movie's cover/poster and also because it had Dominique Swain on the cast list. But "Meteor Moon" definitely puts some truth into the saying "don't judge a book by its cover".

The storyline in "Meteor Moon", or what was supposed to resemble a storyline, was just utter rubbish. The majority of the things transpiring on the screen seemed like something that director Brian Nowak just made up as filming of the movie progressed. It is hard to imagine what writer Joe Roche was trying to accomplish with the script and storyline here in this movie, because very little made coherent sense and the movie was filled with massive plot holes and so many of the things happening just made little sense.

The special effects in the movie weren't all that bad. Sure, this wasn't up to par with the multi-million dollar Hollywood CGI blockbusters, but the special effects in "Meteor Moon" were actually fair enough, for a movie from The Asylum. So that at least works in favor of the movie.

Now, as for the acting. Well, let's just not venture down that path, shall we? I mean, I sat down to watch "Meteor Moon" partly because of it having Dominique Swain on the cast list, but her performance in this movie was just laughable.

For a natural disaster movie, "Meteor Moon" was bad. It was really, really bad. Trust me on this one. If you enjoy natural disaster movies, don't waste your money, time or effort on this one; some of us did so you don't have to.

My rating of "Meteor Moon" settles on a generous two out of ten stars. The movie's cover/poster was actually the best thing about the entire experience.

Dear God, WHY????
flmomof19 July 2021
Let me say that in general, I LOVE Asylum movies. Yes, I'm the one. Guilty. So when I browsed for movies and saw who made this, I was thrilled to find one of their movies that I had not seen. I was painfully naive.

The acting, especially two of the women, was so overdone it was insane. Who told that one woman to open her mouth as wide as possible with every syllable? Annoying Orange's mouth was smaller. And he was infinitely more watchable.

Once I realized how hopeless it was to expect this movie to be "so bad it's good", I spent the rest of the movie with my mouth hanging open, and my hand over it, unable to comprehend what I was seeing.

There is no way to even begin to describe how abysmal this waste of film was. The last 15 minutes....well, I won't spoil it for you hardy souls who dare to attempt to watch this movie to the end. I probably couldn't put it into words anyway.

I gave it one star, because my daughter thought it was GREAT. She talked to the screen, yelled and cheered. I was much more amused watching her than watching anything on the screen.

For the love of all that's holy, avoid this movie.

Save yourself
blackroc-038889 February 2021
The cabin door on the super-secret spaceplane is a hollow core plywood number like you'd find at your uncle the unemployed alcoholic's homeless shelter day room. The AI computer on the super-secret spaceplane pronounces nuclear "nu-q-ler." Rotting clams in August heat don't smell as bad as this. I dunno...maybe everyone was blackmailed into making this Rwandan sewer tour. Xanax...need xanax.

Wow, What a HORRIBLE movie!!
psxexperten1 January 2021
Stay away from this piece of poo at all cost! How bad can a movie get? Answer: THIS bad. Actually cant get any worse even if you wanted it. So many garbage movies lately that's kind of sad. Stop making movies with your kids pocket money. I just don't get what was the whole point, it just sucks so hard that I can't believe this has been done intentionally - surely something went horribly wrong somewhere, there has to be some excuse for the lack of any intelligence by the producer.

Avoid this
Wassart9 January 2021
Its bad, really bad. The actors are so bad, the scenario is a disaster even for a B movie, I saw kids in African countries making better movies than this with cheap cellphones.

The director didn't get the memo yet: my friend, the USA is unable to handle a virus, yet you're making another movie about saving the world from a crashing moon. The moon bruh, it's not a flying toilet seat its the MOON! Are you serious?

Asylum King of B Movies

This is a B-movie made on purpose, think Sharknado. Watch it when bored for a laugh.

OMG!
anthonydavies-429731 January 2021
Absolutely trash movie, great idea for a movie but just god awful acting, effects, realism, storyline, characters, timeframes etc. Fabric gloves on a space suit... yeah right. Pointless deaths throughout, not even believable deaths at that. Might as well go make a cup of tea then press the red hot teaspoon on your retinas.

I've seen a lot of bad stuff in my life, enjoying the little gems I occasionally find in the mud, but this one was uniformly awful. Don't watch it.

Totally without value
Leofwine_draca11 May 2022
Another goofy Asylum slog and not one of their more entertaining works. This one lacks action and the pitiful CGI we've come to expect and in its place is a lot of scientific jargon and small talk. As usual, disaster is foretold and our plucky scientist heroes have to find a way to avert it. This one's totally without value.

An Asylum film so bad that even The Asylum seem to want to ignore it
rj-cullen15 December 2021
Honestly, just don't.

Every single aspect of this film is trash, and not in the fun, campy way of traditional The Asylum films. I could list details, but it's just simpler to list the good aspects of the film:

1) The poster design.

2) The use of alliteration in the title.

3) ..., nope, that's the lot.

Wow..... bad
wolfebear-6450431 July 2021
This is one of those really, really bad movies where you actually want the moon to win. This is one Earth the multiverse can do without. If everyone on that earth acts as badly as every face that appeared throughout the movie, the multiverse can do without this one Earth..

Woah Wtf
Praseodymium103 January 2021
It make zero sense even if you don't know your physics. There are literally P.V.C pipes inside a high tech space shuttle, even more the "fuel" looks like water. The nitrous containers should burst as soon as it is taken outside the shuttle. There is too much science talk that doesn't make sense. The deaths are too lame. Don't waste your time.

Sequel to a movie that was never made?
adamclark-017674 June 2022
I'm not sure if this is a sequel to some other movie that picks up right where the previous one left off or if there was an error at the pressing plant and the first half of this movie got cut out; because it starts with a whole lot of stuff going on and a whole lot more gets randomly thrown at you from out of nowhere. Characters, subplots. It's so disjointed that it's hilarious. Not the usual shameless hilarity the Asylum usually provides; I swear they released 2/3rds of a movie and never cared enough to correct it.

Pure Dross
nelch27 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I gave this a 1 purely because Dominique Swain is in it. Acting -10. Storyline -5. CGI -15.

Every character, in this movie, shout their lines. Shouting your lines does not make the story more dramatic. This movie really is terrible.

Spoiler:

Whoever decided that the viewer would believe that a Mustang could be directed in space with a couple of NOS canisters, must eat crayons for every meal. So laughable from start to finish.

DO NOT WATCH THIS JUNK !
