Marta sees her life turned upside down when, without anything making her foresee it, Cayetano asks her for a divorce. Marta is forced to return to Portugal, to her parents' house, with Xavier and Filipe, and start over from scratch.
Marta tries to pick up the pieces and survive, but nothing she does alleviates her sadness. Catia, her childhood friend, tries to help her or maybe not. In Santiago de Compostela, Cayetano is at the height of happiness with Lola.
It's Xavier's birthday and Cayetano comes to Portugal with Lola. Marta wants Xavier to have the perfect birthday party, because she loves her son and because she wants to prove to Cayetano that she's fine without him.
Upon selling the contents of his old house and Marta's, Cayetano begins to wonder about the divorce. In Portugal, Marta and her family receive an elderly tour at the pension. Marta gains courage and invites Nuno for a real date.
Marta let herself be carried away by the feeling she has for Nuno and ended up sleeping with him. Xavier ends up assuming his relationship with Sofia. Filipe plucks up courage and sends a new message to Quim, inviting him for a date.
Marta arrives home and has Cayetano waiting for her, apologizing for everything he's done. Looking for Cayetano, Lola and Cristian arrive at the village. Nuno is going to Lisbon, leaving Marta confused about what she really wants.
It's Valentine's Day and Marta ends up going out to dinner with Cátia and Luís, and is surprised to see Nuno and Patrícia having dinner at the same restaurant. Cayetano tries to please Lola, but the gap between the two begins to widen.
Marta unexpectedly wakes up beside Nuno, confused, wondering what really happened the night before, which she doesn't remember. Xavier and Sofia steal her mother's car and, without telling anyone, go to Santiago de Compostela.
