This episode is overall not bad!!! But the teleplay is not good!!!! What is with all the 80s movie references !!!!!!!!! The overall plot of the episode is your average NCIS affair, and even has old characters return that I liked!!! Last thing without Deeks what the hell they mad Sabatino the new Deeks but isn't it just feels off he used to be serious!!!

I would like a word with the writer and director who changed the personality of Vostanik Sabatino. He has become Deeks 2.0. He use to be this serious guy.
Again with Lance Hamilton? I don't care for the character. How many times will you do a none Navy case and then have the other Law Enforcement characters tell the NCIS ones it's not their business?

I don't see what the point of having Deeks go through this process is. We know he's going to get on the NCIS team in the end. Removing the police liason didn't seem to make sense since he had success in the role and stopped numerous terrorist plots, but we can overlook that.
I have to wonder why they even keep Nell around at this point. She was once a refreshing presence in the scenes she was in, but now she has even less of a presence than Hetty did when she was on the show.
I've stuck with the show for a long time so I'm not stopping now, but this was easily a very forgettable episode of NCIS: Los Angeles.
