It ends as it starts, fantastic.

Cooper finally faces trial for the many crimes he stands accused of, all thanks to the dogged hard work of Wilkins.

Absolutely brilliant, one of the best things I have seen in a long time, after some disappointed drama in recent times, this has filled me with home that now and then, the producers can deliver some absolute quality.

In this third part, I thought Keith Allen really got chance to shine, and show just how good an actor he really is, Evans has been awesome the whole way through, here Allen showed his class.

A fascinating, but tragic case, he caused so much misery.

Not sure that was Swansea Crown Court that was used though? I may be wrong.

Superb drama, 9/10.

The second episode ended with John Cooper back at his home after being released on parole.

There was a hint that his wife Pat is in danger from him. The final episode begins with Pat's death.

She really did die on his first night back, she had a weak heart and died of a heart attack.

Although don't feel too sorry for her. She had given her husband a false alibi for one of the murders. It might have been under duress but it also meant he was out and about to kill and rape in the future.

The forensics come through for DCS Wilkins and Cooper is tried for murder at the Crown Court. The prosecution barrister gets an admission from Cooper that he had lied at his earlier trial.

I think Cooper did not comprehend the importance of this admision. Basically he was telling the jury, if he lied then, he might be lying now.

As I said before this was a fast moving drama. Wilkins investigation covered a period of 5 years.

Even watching this drama it was apparent the police did not want to be too self critical about the original investigations about the murders.

No one could find old photos of Cooper. Wilkins found a photo of Cooper with the darts team as he joined his son in a pub. Makes you wonder if any of the police talked to Cooper's friends and relatives. They might have found out about the Bullseye appearance much earlier.
