I didn't expect anything from this film. Actually, I was ready for a complete disaster... Hence the title. Yep, it's exaggerated, camp, the dialogue sometimes made me cringe but well, I think it was pretty close to the atmosphere of the original. The authors had to use their imagination because in the book the heroes were dead (except Aramis) and I think they did pretty well. It was entertaining, I didn't have to fast forward, and it's a big gift to the fans of the original. To see all actors together again after 30 years! Is there any other precedent of this kind in the history of cinema? It's like seeing old friends, it's like a family reunion. Pure entertainment for the fans, don't expect much and you'll be surprised as I was.
