A great photographer and human being
MarcoParzivalRocha16 February 2021
Documentary about the life and work of one of the most influential photojournalists ever: Abbas Attar.

At the director's request, Abbas divided his work into themes (Violence, Fanaticism, Humiliation, Pain, Chaos, Ridiculousness, Spirituality, Beauty, Sadness and Intimacy) and approached each one in a very sincere way, in which he describes in detail the most particular situations in which he was involved in more than five decades of work.

The atmosphere of this documentary is very intimate, given the long time friendship between Abbas and Pakdel (director).

It's a very short doc, lasts about 1 hour, but I saw it in 2 days, due to the emotional charge it transmitted to me. It really touched me.

It was made in a week, between the Magnum photo agency in Paris and the photographer's home, and at the end of that week, Abbas passed away.

He photographed until the last moment of his life, and should be remembered as one of the greatest of all time, in the photography world.
