Linda (Julie Parrish) is named Shepherd (first assistant to the president) for the Lambkin charity group fundraiser. Dave (Joby Baker) and Larry (Ronnie Schell) find out the A-list guests for the program, which is being held at the prestigious Hollywood Palladium, and want in on the act. Interestingly, Larry reads the name "Jim Nabors" who played Gomer Pyle in the Desilu production "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C." on which Schell played Duke before and after "Good Morning, World". Desilu landmark series "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "The Andy Griffith Show" are also well-represented. It's a treat to see Andy Griffith and Carl Reiner together as themselves backstage at the charity event- albeit briefly.
