After complications surrounding the birth of her daughter Mary, Catherine Parr dies, the estate and sizeable inheritance move directly to Elizabeth, making her a very rich and very powerful young woman.
This is truly becoming addictive viewing, another great episode, I loved the intensity of it. So much going on here, it's the usual mix of power play and politics, but this episode is tinged with tragedy.
Jessica Raine has been excellent as Catherine Parr, a real shame she didn't get another episode or two.
Stanley Townsend and Beth Goddard were excellent as The Goddards, and it's always wonderful to hear his velvety voice.
Romola Garai was excellent here as Mary, it's good to see her playing a more active role, maybe we get an insight into why exactly she would be known as Bloody Mary, they are showing her early anger and frustration well.
