My favourite episode of the series. I've now watch it twice and I loved it even more the second time round!!! Only two episodes to go now........praying for Season 2. The two leads did a fantastic job in this episode and I love how this series continues to surprise me all the way through.

I really don't know how they are doing this. But for me this show is the best I've ever seen. It's confrontational, exciting, funny and bring's me to reflect on my own standing in life. Of how I see the past, the future and present time. Of what is important and/or should be.

I was intrigued by ep 1, the dark elements of the forcast of Henry's future (the blood in the bathroom, the feet...) were nerve-wracking. The acting of Theo James was brilliant, especially the 28 year old Henry, a man haunted by his past and future.

I was thrilled and waited anxiously for ep2, even rewatched ep1 within the week of waiting...

The second episode knocked me of my feet. Again the acting of Rose Leslie and Theo James is amazing. We learn about Henry's past, his trauma and dilemma of again and again be able AND forced to revisit the day of the accident. We see young Henry struggle with his newfound "ability", fast loosing the naivity of a child under the guidiance of his future self. And it got even more emotional when 28-y Henry finally opens up to Clare... I was totally overwhelmed.

In ep 3 we learn about Clare's life, about her meetings with Henry, the friendship and crush she developes. We see her darkest childhood memorie, the evening of the party... and her struggle to come to terms with what she had to endure. We also see older Henry being conflicted by Clare's wish to kill someone. But he senses there is something deeper, something she's not ready to share with him (ever). He knows her and trusts her judgment, even at 16. And I think he wants to prove this to her. The sceen with Jason tied to the tree was so intense... the way he tried to justify his actions, using her textmessages... it really got to me.

Now I've watched ep 4 and this, even if it was (thankfully) not as heavy as the first 3 episodes (at least most of the time...) made me fall in love with the show even more. Finally we reach the present and focus on the developement of Henry's and Clare's relationship. We get to know Ingrid and hear 41-y Henry talking about limited time for everyone...

This show is amazing, a masterpiece and in my opinion a perfect adaption of an equally amazing book!

Can't wait for ep5 & 6! And I really hope there will be a season 2, even if I dread to see the finall chapters of the book be brought to life by actors as brilliant as Theo James and Rose Leslie!

WOW! Audrey Niffenegger and The Moff know how to present an entertaining show. This episode sets up soo much for future episodes. Of course refrences to one of The Moff's other time travel shows always brings a tear to me eye. Loved the Mrs and the ex scenario here. Love those time travel conundrums.
