This is somehow my introduction to the legendary director that is Park Chan Wook, I find it kind of insane that I have not seen anything else done by this man before I sat down to watch the first episode of his new hbo series "The Sympathizer", but this is definitely a fantastic introduction to this man if the rest of his work is anything like what happens here. Easily one of the most gripping first episodes I've ever seen in my television viewing history, truly every part of this thing works excellently for me. From the fantastic lead and Robert Downey Jr. Looking quite silly, plus the banger soundtrack that accompanied it and the masterful direction. I highly recommend everyone starts this show as soon as they can, I can already tell it's going to be a must watch, especially as it continues.
