From Northeastern state of Paraíba, we have here a carefully developed movie, more focused in the atmosphere and the details than in great actions (although they also happen), very well acted and directed. The main character, in jail for many years, is allowed for the first time to visit his family for Christmas. As the movie advances we know more about him, his past, his family and friends. The experience of freedom makes him feel and think a lot. The various reactions of other people both say a lot about our society and add more elements to the turmoil inside his mind. The contact with his teen cousin, above all, impacts him, as she is so similar to how he was when he had her age and was a skilled punk singer and guitar player. Will he be able to go back to prision?
