UNDENIABLY A MUST-WATCH!
amlungaro19 January 2024
"REWIND" took me on an emotional journey, traversing through a spectrum that included grief, hope, regret, and a sense of heroism. The film introduces a captivating and rare concept that I've longed for, inviting audiences to contemplate the idea of revisiting pivotal moments and altering destinies. Picture yourself going back in time to reshape the outcomes of your greatest desires or most haunting regrets.

The cast impressively brings the universe of "REWIND" to life with unwavering conviction. They skillfully convey the pain and anger of Rewind, the hope and despair of Jax, and even the malevolence embodied by the Whistler. Their performances add layers of authenticity to the characters, making the narrative more immersive.

What sets this film apart is its exceptional quality, surpassing the standards of its counterparts in the category. The combination of remarkable picture quality and skillful direction align seamlessly with the standards of a blockbuster action hit. The stunts executed in the film are so astonishing that they leave you pondering how such shots were even achieved.

"REWIND" exceeds every expectation, delivering an experience that goes above and beyond. It is undeniably a must-watch, and my anticipation is fueled by the hope of witnessing more cinematic gems of this caliber in the future.

This short film provides a compelling exploration of the moments that shape our lives, emphasizing how we choose to spend our time. Jason Woods, the main actor, delivers a captivating performance that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats; fostering a deep connection with the characters. His portrayal of raw and authentic emotions, particularly the sadness depicted, adds a profound layer to the narrative, making it a memorable viewing experience. The stunts showcased in this short film not only amplified its overall impact but also highlighted the impressive skills of the stunt coordinator. A big kudos to the production team as well, and high hopes for Jason Woods to star in major motion films.

Excellent Film
thedirtythirty12 January 2024
One of the best things about this film is that it's so relatable. We all have those awkward moments when we wish we could change time. Or go back in time to make a wrong turn into a right turn in our lives. Especially when it comes to loves ones.

The quality of the film is excellent. The directing, acting and special effects are superb. The action from start to finish will have you sitting at the edge of your seat. The brilliance of the film lies in the different emotions from start to finish that is displayed in the characters, that in a certain instance, without giving anything away, brings you tears.

Great job!

Super fun and creative!

Warning: Spoilers
Rewind was a great short with strong performances that does a lot with a short run time. The visual effects were really solid and they used time travel in a new and unique way. The story plays with your heartstrings while also being entertaining. However, the acting was what made the short film for me. Jason did great with the physical stunts. It created some very funny moments but having it lead into the warehouse showed his range. Sage did a lot with his screen time being the emotional heart that tied everything together leaving you wanting rewind to win more. It was a fun watch and a great time!

Thrilling, Moving, & Fun!

In an impressively concise amount of time, Rewind manages to fully engage audiences with action sequences backed by tense emotional stakes. With a clean, clear concept, the short film immediately draws you in as you watch the protagonist desperately racing against time from the jump. While I typically wouldn't consider myself much of an action person, the scenes here felt very compelling because of how well-acted they are, and because of the emotional weight behind them. Not only is this short fun to watch, it makes you feel. As the closing voiceover alludes to making the most of each moment, it's clear the filmmakers understand the sentiment given how well paced each second of this film is! Also, a round of applause for the very effective score!

Needs to be longer! Loved it!

Saw this short film at a Film festival and was blown away. The quality of work in the short, outstanding. The VFX, acting, stunts, it really has it all! Worthy of being turned into a full length feature. Not only was I captivated by the amount of work put into the short film, I was moved by the story. With a sci-fi element of time travel and a main character at the center filled with determination and heart, you get a short story that leaves you wanting more, what could be if some things were different or if you could change certain parts of time. I would definitely love to see this work be put as a TV show or a film.

Captivating at every turn

To watch this as a short film and see all the blood sweat and tears poured into this beautiful story was amazing!! The performances, stunts and camera work was thrilling to watch and just when you think it is just another action film it hits you with heart. As an avid action movie lover to me that was the best part of it. To see that you can have the neat tricks and action sequences that tickle that craving but also have moments where your heart just melts. Such a beautiful analogy about time and how no matter how hard we try sometimes there is just never enough.

My only issue...it was too short, needs to be full length ASAP!!

Great film
krbasham10 January 2024
I saw this at a film fest with a few friends of mine and I really liked it. It was the best of the films in the block. My only complaint is it was a short film and should be a feature film. The sound was really good and the effects were well done too. I loved everything about it. The writing, the cinematography, the characters and the strong performances. Furthermore, the exploration of family relationships adds depth to the narrative. The protagonist's desire to use time travel to reconnect with lost loved ones is relatable and tugs at heartstrings. The story beautifully captures both the joy and pain associated with familial connections.

Fun, Creative, yet Heartbreaking At the Same Time

Warning: Spoilers
When I first had the pleasure of watching this short film, I was not prepared for my heartstrings to be tugged at but yet they were being pulled like Steve Rogers pulling a helicopter! As both a brother and proud uncle myself, you got me! Not only did it almost make me shed a tear, I also thought the films super-powered element was done in a super creative, fun and inventive way, thought the watch was cool and gave me strong ben 10 vibes (mean that in the best way)!

Also the music? Smoothly placed in, big fan of editing and loved the way it was edited in. Can only imagine what the creative team behind this could pull off in the future.

Fun Short that Tugged Heartstrings a Bit
KCyphe9 January 2024
Its obviously a low budget short but that doesn't matter so anyone who comments on the quality like camera, lens, lighting etc., go somewhere else. It's just some young film makers with a camera and a passion. The idea is still solid and it genuinely made me tear up. Its quick and too the point which is great for any short film. The couple of effects used are good enough to sell the intended effect and Jason's acting is solid. There isn't much to the villain role other than just being someone you hate because of what he did so I'd be curious if there's more nuance and a "why" that would be answered in a feature but I understand its hard to get elaborate in a short like this. As of now he's just there to be the bad guy. It would have been nice to get a better and more clean fine-tuned fight scene with how short it is. If Rewind isn't a martial artist or a good fighter at the time, it would want to see him just be super brutal, especially considering what the villain did. But overall good concept that could easily be cleaned up and elaborated on.

Compelling Short Film
barbara-hebda10 January 2024
Rewind is a moving and thrilling short sci-fi film. The story keeps you on edge as the big brother, Rewind, (Jason Woods) time travels back and forth to save little brother, Jax, (Sage Mayer) who has run afoul of gangster, Whistler, (Johnny Alexander). Writer/Director Leo Lungaro squeezed every ounce of action and suspense into this 6 minute short film. Jason Woods as Rewind is suited to this genre. He carries the film on his broad shoulders with movie star aplomb. In a feature film, Mr. Woods would have had a stunt double, but that's not possible in shorts, yet he handles the physicality as well as the acting deftly.

Kudos to Leo Lungaro for delivering a well crafted short film.
