While yes, it's good that this series allows the fourth book to be playing out in more detail, as opposed to how it would be if it was a 90 minute film, but it does make the plot of certain episodes a bit slow, and dare I say it - skippable.
There's probably about ten minutes of really crucial things happening here that you need to see in order to enjoy other episodes, but equally there's a fair bit of set-up and padding.
It remains fun, don't get me wrong, but part of the thrill of the Alex Rider books is the action, and this was a bit too slow at times for my liking.
Overall though, a good outing.
