One of the best Raw's in a long time, I actually have hope now.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a pretty good raw actually, considering most of them suck lately. Between Shawn's inevitable Heel turn|Or it looks like it|, his obsession with The Undertaker, the dissension between D.X, it was all great. And for once, the Bret and Vince thing, actually did something right. Carl Edwards was an OK host too.

Carl Edwards starts it off, or so it seems. And wouldn't you know it, the annoying Hornswoggle, comes riding out in a race car. What was the point of this? He is so stale, it's not even funny. I am sick of seeing him, on my t.v screens every week. Kelly is out for the announcing duties, who might I add, looks pretty cute, I have to admit. Edwards speaks a bit to the crowd, getting the cheap pops so to speak, before Sheamus interrupts. I'm still not buying Sheamus as champion, he's too rushed. Sheamus cuts an OK, if rather wooden promo, which leads surprisingly Captain Charisma himself, to come out, with a good pop from the crowd. Solid bantering, between Christian and Sheamus, thanks to Christian's sly wit, and excellent Mic skills.

Christian Vs Sheamus. Nice to see that The Raw crowd can get into Christian, bodes well for him, in the future. Not bad to open the show, Christian pretty much carried it though. Sheamus did all right, against a proved Vet like him. Sheamus wins with The Razor's edge, much to my disgust.

DX is shown backstage. Shawn wants DX at Mania, but Triple H intends to win The Elimination Chamber. Shawn walks off in disgust, saying "It's all about you now?". Decent segment, I do like how this is playing out.

Legacy is backstage, arguing about their opponents. Randy comes in asking if Ted is better than him, and informs Ted he will be facing Cena tonight. Interesting segment, as the tension continues to build with Legacy.

Unified Tag Team Titles. Miz&Big Show vs Straight Edge Society Vs DX|C| Too many commercials to make an impact for me, it was OK for what I saw. I love the Miz, and respect The Big Show, but I'm starting to wonder, if them winning the titles, was the wisest move?.

2/5

Miz&Big Show are interviewed. Not much to see here, the two do seem to have genuine chemistry though.

HBK tries to get on smack down, so he can face The Undertaker. Triple H cuts him off, asking if he wants to throw away DX and his career, just for his obsession?. Shawn says his career is over, and super kicks Teddy Long. Great segment, they are doing wonders with Shawn, right now.

Gail Kim Vs Jillian. Maryse provides the commentary, with her fake nice act, and looking pretty hot in the process. The match is a throwaway, and like most diva matches now days, not a lot of thought provided, or effort. Gail wins with her finishing move. Maryse says they hope they have a good match at Elimination Chamber. OK then.

Pointless scene of Jared The Subway guy and Santino bantering. Carl Edwards sets up a match, between Swagger and Santino. Kofi says he wants the night off, but does not wanna be too rusty. Carl agrees, but lets Jerry Springer, decide for next week.

Randy Orton Vs Cody Rhodes. More for storyline build up, then anything else. Crowd is firmly with RKO, with loud RKO chants. If they are planning on turning Ted face, they better be ready to pull a rabbit out of their hat, because The crowd digs Orton. Cody wins, when Sheamus distracts him. Sheamus then attacks Orton from behind, with a Kick. Cody seemingly scares him off with a chair. Orton face turn, ahead?. Will see.

John Cena Vs Ted Dibiase. Not really a match, because Cena destroys Dibiase. Cena is running on adrenaline tonight, and calls out Batista to fight. He then says he has a feeling, Vince is behind all this, and calls him out. Vince is out of course, with security guards. Cena and Vince wage in a verbal war so to speak. Vince thinks Batista is miffed, because Cena eliminated him at the rumble. Cena goes on about how he loves to do what he does for him, and not for money like Vince. Cena tells Vince, that Bret wants a match with Vince at Wrestlemania. Vince scoffs at the suggestion, and out comes Bret from the crowd. Bret goes ape sh*t, and tears the equipment down, with Vince scattering away, but quick. Excellent segment all around, Bret had the crowd in a small frenzy, and Cena did well against Vince. Maybe this can work after all!.

0/5 for the match. 4 1/2 /5 for the segment.

Bottom line. WWE Is picking up a little bit, and in good time too, because TNA seems to be slightly improving. Interesting story lines, unlimited potential abound here. This could be a great Road to Wrestlemania, if this continues. Two thumbs up for Raw.
