- A disabled man in a wheelchair falls down steps and smashes his head open on a wall.
- Teenagers high on drugs break into a house and brutally beat an elderly man. They steal his car and set fire to it. One of the teenagers catches fire and the others laugh and dance as he burns to death. Very violent.
- A man jams metal rods into another man. Blood gushes all over him and the snow.
- Multiple scenes of shootings, stabbings, strangulation, severe beatings, asphyxiation. One scene depicts a young girl stabbed in the heart and left to die.

- A man kidnaps a teenage boy, drugs him, puts him in restraints, cuts him, and smashes his mouth and jaw with a gun.

Profanity

- Very harsh TV-MA profanity throughout, with "fuck" used 20 to 30 times in each episode, and shit, bastard, bitch, goddamn etc. As well. Under no circumstances a TV-14 rating.
- The profanity increases during the final episodes of season 1, with "fuck" in practically every sentence, primarily used by children and young teens.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Frequent scenes of alcohol abuse, severe intoxication, and hangovers in each episode.
- Very young teenagers depicted using pot and addicted to heroin. Some prostitute themselves for fixes.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Disabled people living in a facility are stalked and murdered.
- Patients in a mental institution are stalked, strapped down, poisoned, and shown suffering and gasping as they die. Much of this is done in jump cuts for shock value.
- A man goes on a drunken rage, threatening his family, destroying furniture, waving a gun.
- Scenes depicting a child enjoying animal abuse, including kittens drowned, a chicken set on fire, an injured dog stomped to death, and a gerbil left to starve and die. Very upsetting.
- Scenes depicting white supremacy and teenage boys forming a Nazi cult.
- A woman with a gun menaces a terrified man and puts a noose around his neck to hang him.
- A disabled man in a wheelchair rolls into a frozen lake to drown.
