I've really tried to stick with this series, but it's just awful. The same tired over-angst and idiocy with zero humor. Darlene is on an alleged spiritual quest which involves jumping from one idiotic/pretentious man to the next. Jackie has devolved into a complete idiot. Baby Rose has suddenly aged, because I assume no one can write about a woman taking care of an infant. The writer of this episode put PhD after his name. I assume it's a PhD in physical education because it's clearly not a writing degree. The plot devices of this episode were inane. Is there only one hardware store in the entire city of Lanford? Why did Darlene go there? It's not like a fuse requires an employee discount for them to afford it. They keep adding new characters for no good reason and to no good purpose. The old finacee? Why? If you want to add more people, then how about D. J.'s wife? The U. S. pulled out of Afghanistan a while ago. Why not deal with her return to home and life and integrating back into her family? But something like that would require a writing skill and emotional maturity that is sorely lacking on this show. This terrible episode in a long line of terrible episodes was the final nail in the coffin for me. I won't be watching any more.

How does this show even stay on the air. It's horrible.
Becky's kid was a baby last week and now she's 4 years old? How long will it be before she starts having emotional problems or some social issue? Just keep on writing in drama into a "comedy" show ABC.
Horrible show.

Oh Darlene

Darlene has always been dark and brooding, but at least there was some humor to it. Now she has become just a hateful, despicable person. Why would any man want to be with her? To be a sitcom, you need some comedy and this show is severely lacking these days. (Not even going to get into Beverly Rose's amazing growth spurt...)
Beverly Rose

I'm not here for the endless Darlene romantic troubles garbage that I've complained about numerous times before. Also not here for WaCkY jAcKiE stuff either. It was another dull episode where literally the only stand out feature in this episode involves Beverly Rose being aged up. This seems like an odd time to do such a thing? Why do it now instead of waiting til the new season starts? I do realize tv series love to add younger kids as the other kids are getting older so the younger kids are still bringing the "cuteness factor" in. So maybe that's why they swapped kids. I still say it's an unusual time to do it and the younger Beverly Rose hasn't been seen for awhile. It honestly kinda makes me wonder if the baby's parent(s)/guardian(s) are wanting to play it safe with Covid still being around? I imagine tv shows constantly test everybody coming on that set and precautions are in place to be followed. Still, I'm sure a parent might be worried about their young child getting sick and decided the best bet was for the child to leave the series?
