- The film centers around teenager Devon's attempts to seduce her high school teacher. She purchases sexy lingerie and is seen modeling it in front of the mirror, imagining that she is seducing him. She also has over the top fantasies of him seducing her.
- There are a few "dream scenes" (about four altogether) where Devon fantasizes about getting her way with Jim. In these scenes, they are making out and feeling each other up, although they are always completely clothed.
- At one point, Devon is sneaking around in her teacher's house when he comes home with his girlfriend. They begin making out heavily and move to the bedroom, where he takes off his shirt and begins pulling off her outer clothes. They ultimately begin having sex (no nudity, just the making out and her legs wrapped around him) while Devon hesitates to watch for a moment before sneaking out. In another scene, Devon is in the hallway of her house when she hears her father in bed with a woman, giggling and presumably having sex with her. We don't see them, though.
- Devon's friend says to her, "How cool would it be if you actually had sex with your teacher? The other girls would be so jealous!" During the same conversation, the girls talk about "banging" and "dropping your panties" for a guy.
- Devon makes a suggestive comment about getting "mouth to mouth" from a paramedic.

- The only violent scene in the movie takes place when a woman is out jogging and gets struck and killed by a car. There is no blood, but we can see a wound on her forehead.

- Nothing really bad, as it is a television movie, but words like bitch, hell, crap, damn, whore, and slut are used.

- At the beginning of the movie, teenager Devon brings a waterbottle to a school dance and tells her friend that there's vodka in it. She is seen drinking out of it.
- A 36-year-old man drinking in his home while in a state of duress. A teenage girl is also seen drinking alcohol straight from the bottle, alone in her hotel room.
- Devon is arrested when the police find her parked in front of a house, drinking in her car.

- We know that Devon's mother died, but it's not until the end of the film that she reveals her mom was obsessed with her dad and killed herself when she didn't think he returned her feelings. Devon disturbingly calls this real love and tells Jim she's doing the same thing.
- Devon deliberately runs over a woman while she is running outside, killing her. No blood is shown, but the woman gasps as the car strikes her, and there is a loud thud. We see her in the middle of the road and it's revealed later that she died. Her funeral is also shown, and her young daughter in particular is crying a lot.
- Devon's behavior throughout the movie is very disturbing in general. When she finally realizes her teacher, Jim, is not interested in her, she ultimately becomes threatening and calls him "loser who can't even keep his marriage together", kidnaps his daughter, and makes threats that she will be his "nightmare". Later on, she accuses him of rape and has him arrested.
- There's a good deal of suspense when it's revealed that Devon took Jim's daughter. Devon's arrest at the end of the movie could be categorized as intense.
