This is a curious short starring Bernard Holley playing the now retired policeman Bill Newcombe from Z cars relaxing in his garden and hoping to avoid mowing the lawn.

He falls into a reverie where he recalls an incident from the 1960's, where an old couple are having a heated argument about light. This flashback is filmed in black & white and a lot of green screen. We hear the familiar bars of the Z Cars theme tune and we have to suspend disbelieve that Holley has to pass himself off as four decades younger.

Newcombe tells the couple, one of whom is played by Frank Williams, the Vicar for Dad's Army to calm down. It is a lot of fuss over nothing as the whole dispute is over a game of Scrabble.

It is a quirky piece of nostalgia for Z Cars fans and it is a well produced short.
