I found Last Night in New York fascinating. David Patrick Columbia is a wonderful storyteller. It wasn't his time with New York's elite or rich that I found most interesting. It was details and stories he revealed about himself, his family and where he lived; starting from his poor, humble beginning in Westfield Mass to Pound Ridge CT to NYC to LA that I found most interesting. There were surprises in his story that were surprises to David when they actually occurred. A case in point was when he learned that his father had another family before he was born. He didn't learn this until one of his half sisters contacted him when he was an adult. 99 minutes spent with David were very entertaining and went by quickly. It was time well spent.
