Very rarely we see an english drama being made in Bollywood with all the known leading actors. And most of the time the movie made with english as the primary language doesn't look natural and good but this movie looked really natural and convincing.
Though I personally belive if the language would have been hindi, the impact of movie could have been much solid. Still this is a very welll made movie.
Pramod(Gulshan Grover) is a filmmaker, M(Atul Kulkarni) is the cinematograoger and Sushmita(Masumi) and Mrs Jyoti Bhat(Rati Angihotri) is the actress of the movie which is being made by Pramod. As the movie progresses the relationship starts to change in the movie. M is dealing with lost love and wants to make a cinema on his life. Asha(Sonali Kulkarni) is M's love interest. M's decides to cast Sushmita as Asha in the movie. Pramod slowly starts loving Sushmita.
Relationships and the complexity each relations have, is handled very well in the movie. Director Madhu Ambat doesn't look in a hurry, but she narrates the story well. He is known for his cinematography and even in this movie some frames and camera work looked really amazing.
Performance wise, Gulshan Kumar is in a completely new look. Not by the face look but he looks so confident portraying a film maker. Totally convincing and complete natural. Atul Kulkarni looked comfortable in the role of a choreographer M and his performance is calm and composed, maybe the best performance in this movie.
Sonali Kulkarni though is in guest appearance, but looks good in a limited flashback role. Rati Angnihotri is lovely and charming as always. Masumi looks pretty and delivers a good performance.
All in all, this is a work of art. Not your regular entertainer movie. This movie requires your complete attention and at the last you would end up loving the movie. Might think a little in the end.
