As interestedly odd as it is disturbing (TOTAL SPOILERS)

I'm not sure the point being made in Judd's film Bruce, but it was definitely one that held my attention easily. The films sees a man (not called Bruce) taking a pack of meat out of the fridge, plugging it into his computer and transferred code to it to make it into whatever he wants. He choose the template code for "action hero" and within seconds we have a mini version of Bruce Willis – bare feet, white vest, receding hairline and everything. The man plays with his new toy (which appears to be very alive and have its own mind) until it breaks, at which point he pops it in a bag, waits for it to suffocate and then throws it away.

Sorry for spoiling it in that paragraph, but it is hard to talk about a 3 minute film without giving away the plot! The idea behind the animation is interesting to watch unfold and the animation of the "playing with" sequence is quite slick while also looking very much "created" by one person (if you know what I mean). However no sooner has your interest been taken before the film ends with the very depressing sight of a mini-Bruce Willis breathing his last inside a small freezer bag; it sounds weird to say it out loud but let me tell you it was even weirder watching it not knowing it was coming! Bruce makes an interesting film, but if there is a point about the disposable view of "things" that may have inherent value beyond the value we give them (and then take away) then it wasn't delivered well because I was too busy being both engaged and disturbed by what was happening in the foreground! Interestingly odd.
