The Western is a genre that's mostly gone by the wayside in recent decades, as portraits of straight-shooting American heroes and uncomplicated "bad guys" have become less digestible to the public. While popular neo-Westerns (like "Justified" or the works of Taylor Sheridan) and perspective-changing genre breakdowns have made a splash in recent yers, the genre has mostly died out. Of the relics that remain, few are as prolific and familiar as "Bonanza," a Western series that ran for an impressive 14 seasons on NBC in the '60s and '70s.
As a long-running TV series, "Bonanza" was able to chart the change — or stubborn lack thereof — within the genre and the country, frankly addressing topics like racism and bigotry while also delivering regular laughs and a dash of melodrama to loyal viewers. The series starred Lorne Green as widower Ben Cartwright and Dan Blocker, Pernell Roberts, and Michael Landon as Ben's three sons.

One of our favorite fellows competing on “The Masked Singer” season 11 is disguised as the Gumball. He wowed the crowd in his first appearance on March 13 with a medley of “If I Only Had a Heart” by Jack Haley and “Heartbeat Song” by Kelly Clarkson. It became clear quite quickly that this contender is someone who has made his living by raising his voice in song.
Forget those guesses by the judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Rita Ora and Robin Thicke that Gumball is Chace Crawford, Jamie Dornan or Kevin Jonas. We’ve rewatched that first performance and taken another look at his clues package. We are sure we’ve cracked the code as to Gumball’s true identity. Keep reading as we have all your “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the answer to the question, “Who is Gumball?”

The decision to pick up Sullivan’s Crossing wasn’t a huge departure for the CW; romantic, field-good series like Hart of Dixie, Life Unexpected and Everwood have long been hallmarks of the network..
Still, the show was immediately labeled as a cheap import because it first launched in Canada in March, where it became CTV’s highest-rated drama launch on over two years. It is produced by Reel World Management in association with CTV with Fremantle as global distributor. It’s from Roma Roth and Christopher E. Perry, the team behind Netflix’s Virgin River.
“We have to be entrepreneurial. We can’t just write a $10 million per-episode check for a show with some dragons in it,” President Brad Schwartz said during the upfronts in May.

An idyllic setting, charming cast, and sweet love story are often the ingredients needed for a good comfort watch. The desire to escape everyday pressures since the pandemic has seen viewers like myself going back to old favorites such as Gilmore Girls or finding something newer like Virgin River, currently streaming its fifth season on Netflix.
With each season reaching Netflix’s top ten, Virgin River has capitalized on fan’s love of Robyn Carr’s 21-book-long series of the same name and our increasing impulse to find new shows that don’t require too much of our attention. Virgin River is precisely that as it lacks terror-inducing Jaws music and instead provides Hallmark-esque vibes with the added dash of danger from the illegal drug trade surrounding the town.

Can it really be 20 years since “The O.C.” premiered on Fox? The young actors of the series, Benjamin McKenzie, Adam Brody, Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson quickly became in-demand stars and the theme song “California” by Phantom Planet became a top ten hit in several countries while also reaching 35 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart.

Several members of the cast went on to lead their own series and films and others have popped up on hit shows from “How I Met Your Mother” to “Grey’s Anatomy.” Here’s what they’ve been up to since “The O.C.” signed off in February 2007.

Hart of Dixie’s “The Gambler” remains one of the most buzzed-about episodes of Leila Gerstein’s comedy-drama series. TV Fanatic staff writers Laura Nowak, Becca Newton, former staff writer Sarah Little, and I discussed what we loved about the show, what we hated, what we shipped, and how we fangirl now that it's all over.

On September 26th, 2011, Hart of Dixie Season 1 Episode 1 aired on The CW for the first time. Now, ten years later, I wanted to reflect on the show and everything it had to offer.
On the surface, Hart of Dixie was a fish out of water story: a big city doctor moves to a small town and tries to kick-start her career. It quickly became a show about love, family, and finding a home.
While the world of Hart of Dixie is zany and unrealistic, there are a lot of great lessons we can learn about life from the show.
1) Life Doesn't Always Go According To Plan
Zoe Hart planned to be a cardiothoracic surgeon in Manhattan like her father, Dr. Ethan Hart. she was sure she would get a fellowship and follow in his footsteps. Fate had other plans for her.
Many of us have visions of our future planned out.
